My family and I have been Dr. Spiewak's patients for over 15 years and we have no intention to find a different dentist. All his work has been very professional and of the highest quality. Dental hygienists and office staff are also long term employees who know us very well. It is nice to be able to see the same familiar faces after all these years.

I've had very poor experiences with this facility. If you're new to the area and looking for a dentist, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I will say that Amanda (hygienist) and Dr. Lee are generally good. Unfortunately, the latter splits her time between this location and another facility, and it can be hard to get an appointment with her.

Dr. Spiewak performed my oral evaluation and was very unprofessional. When asked, I was honest about my home care habits. Instead of giving me advice, he told me I'd be spending a lot of time in the dentist's office, I'd be paying off his college loans, and made other less-than-constructive comments. At the end of the evaluation, he yelled out a diagnosis, made more demeaning comments, told me his assistant "would go over the financials," and then left without explaining what he found.

I also had a lengthy back-and-forth with staff at this facility over an insurance claim that they repeatedly misfiled, saying that my insurance provider was "difficult to work with." I wound up paying out of pocket because, despite Dr. Spiewak ordering the procedure, review by my insurance provider deemed it not medically necessary and thus not covered. In handling that, I also came to find I was overbilled for two other appointments, and was given the runaround when I asked the Midwest Dental staff about it.

Overall, this place was a headache to work with. I should've gotten a second opinion, but was crunched for time. There's no shortage of dental clinics in Madison. If you need a dentist, there are far better options out there.

Best dental care experience ever!Dr. Spiewak is the greatest, and Kathy in the office is very helpful and always friendly.

The staff at Mid-West Dental, University Ave in Madison are very personable and professional. I am always greeted by first name when I arrive. The care I receive is outstanding. Dr. Spiewak is one of the most caring, approachable and professional dentists I've ever known. Five stars for Midwest University Ave.

I've been going to Midwest Dental for more than 15 years. The staff is very courteous and punctual. The office efficiently handle all my dental insurance information and payments and always provide estimates before the treatment procedure. Dr. Spiewak is highly professional and courteous.  When I had emergency, he always were able to find time to see me within few hours after my call. The dental work performed by Dr. Spiewak is the highest quality. I never had significant issues after various dental procedures, including fillings, bridges, and rout canal treatment. I highly recommend this dentistry.
