I’m never disappointed at Mike Johnson Toyota of Hickory. Nick Julian, my service representative, quickly schedules convenient appointments, monitors the service, and keeps me informed throughout the process. He lets me know what needs to be done for my safety and the well being of my car, as well as informing me of issues to look for in the future. I’ve been a loyal Toyota owner for 32 years because of the great service, and with Mike Johnson and Nick Julian on my side, I will continue to be a very satisfied customer!

I bought a used Camry from another dealer and took it to Mike Johnson's for a once-over. They showed me that the car came with the wrong size tires. Cindy worked diligently and got the other dealer's warranty company to pay not only for the right tires but much better tires. I was very pleased. Everyone I met in the service department (especially Cindy) was friendly and helpful. The service was reasonably fast, the waiting room was great, the drinks and popcorn were nice, and nobody tried to sell me something I didn't need. I had a positive experience all around.

It was around the time for my maintenance visit and after leaving I noticed that the tire pressure light turned on. I then took my car back to the dealer and they without hesitation checked on everything. I left again and the same thing happened again. This was all on a Saturday. I chose to not go back to the dealer until Monday and Cindy handled the problem, giving me a very nice rental until everything with my car was handled. I have literally nothing bad to say about this dealer. I believe that is the price of going to a franchise. I can honestly say I trust them and know that they have my best interest. I am young and never once have felt overwhelmed or confused about anything. In general they are great people.

Nick Julian in service has made me a confident customer. I know whatever he recommends my car is in real need of and he always takes the time to explain why I need it and about how much time it will take. He gives excellent customer service and is patient answering all my questions. Thank You

Just changed this review from a 5 start review 8 months ago to a two star review and now 9 months later changing it to 1 star. My first service was wonderful and services have drastically gone down hill since. It's always way longer than quoted to get work done. Last time when I picked up my car, after a very late service, I pulled out of the lot and heard a grinding sound, pulled back in and then had to wait again for them to fix what they broke. This time, scheduled an appointment for 10am to have my brakes looked at, showed up on time, and at 11:35 had not heard anything. I questioned the service rep and was told THEY HAD NOT EVEN TAKEN MY CAR IN TO LOOK AT IT. SERIOUSLY. I was flabbergasted and told them I was leaving. He then offered me a shuttle to shopping, no thanks and then finally a loner car which I also refused. I live 45 minutes away and would then have to drive it back. They could care a less about how long you sit and wait. Would have been nice to have been updated much earlier and offered a car then. Too late. Never going back... Unfortunately I had to go back 9 months later to have an airbag recall done that could only happen at the dealer. Was told it was a three hour repair. I scheduled an appointment for that and also decided to have a maintenance service done same day. I figures that would push me to 5 hours. They offered a loaner car which was nice. I brought my car to them, driving in the dark on wet snowy roads and arrived 10 minutes early. 35 minutes later I finally was given a rental car and then found out that they had already taken my car to service with all of my personal belongings in it. Guess I shouldn't have left my keys in the car. Never assumed that would just take it! I ask the man what time I can pick up my car and he tells me sometime tomorrow. Tomorrow? I thought this was a three hour repair? After speaking with the manager I find out that THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE ALL THE PARTS! Why didn't they call me and let me know they couldn't fix my car that day. I'm not available tomorrow to come back and get my car. They offer to bring my car to me tomorrow but I don't know what time they will do that. I'm in a class tomorrow and a chiropractic visit and honestly don't have time to now try to meet someone somewhere on the road. I had an appointment for today, not tomorrow, that's the point. Anyway, I left without the service and will take it to the Toyota dealer in NJ next week when I visit, a dealer who knows how to do repairs on time! Definitely never again Mike Johnson! No more chances for you! What a waste of a morning...
