Mill Bridge Village Camp Resort

About

Camp at a historic property next to a working Amish farm and still have convenient access to all the restaurants, theatres, shopping and attractions!

Story

Take A Step Back In Time.
Imagine a long journey west in a Conestoga Wagon, transporting corn to be ground at the mill. Your wagon approaches its destination -- 1738 Herr's Grist Mill and the 1844 Covered Bridge (longest in Lancaster County). Mill Bridge Campresort is home to these two registered historic landmarks.

In the early 18th century, Herr's Mill was an important neighborhood center. Not only was it a place to stop between trips, but it was also a place to purchase supplies and exchange news for locals and visitors alike. The Mill and the Village functioned throughout the 1800's and into the turn of the century. 1929 was the last year the Mill operated.

At Mill Bridge Village & Campresort, you will find a wide variety of activities, attractions and shopping nearby. Come see Mill Bridge Camp Resort, alive with the sights and sounds of Pennsylvania Dutch yesteryears.

This is a really nice place for camping. Located in the Amish county, all you see is green farm lands, blue sky and farm animals. Perfect place for a weekend getaway. The people here are extremely nice and very helpful. If you forget any item for camping, don't worry everything is available in the store which is open till 8 pm. In the evening there was an Amish family who were selling food and desserts which were yummy!! Each spot has electricity and water. The toilets are VERY clean. Overall awesome place and highly recommended for camping.

DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF BY THESE OWNERS!!! First of all, they booked us the wrong weekend. So we changed all of our plans and came that weekend. We were planning to stay from Sunday night until Wednesday. On Monday evening it rained for about 2 hours. We put the kids to bed at 9 and my husband and I were watching TV. The owner banged on our door at 10:00 and told us that they needed to evacuate everyone because of all the rain. We had two kids sleeping in bed and they need to evacuate us?!! We were packing up everything and the owner was talking to us and trying to joke about the situation. We also asked about being compensated and she kept saying, "we will work it all out later". After taking an hour to unhook everything and pack up we landed up parking in a nearby parking lot and just going to sleep. We came home the next day because it wasn't worth setting up and taking down everything just for one more night. Long story short (kind of) now they are saying that instead of us getting a refund for the last two nights, they will only give us campground credit of one night. First of all, why in the world would we want to go back?!! Second, why only one night?!!! They say, "well you could have come back the last night". The evacuation was completely unnecessary to begin with. The stream rose about a foot and the bank was at least 5 feet high! If that's not enough, the bathrooms/showers are disgusting, my 5 and 8 year olds had no interest in the crappy playground and I couldn't find a chair at the pool that wasn't broken. BTW, this is the first negative review I have EVER written. We were just treated so horrible and from other reviews it seems pretty normal from these owners.

We stayed here 2 days while traveling to Canada. The campground was clean, family friendly, and has nice facilities. We enjoyed the pool, store, landscapes, and creek behind the site. Staff was extremely nice! We will stay again!!

Not at all impressed. The lots are so small you feel like you are on top of each other. We didn't spend much time there due to this. Would definitely NOT recommend if you want to be able to actually camp.
