Tucquan Park Family Campground. Overall, the Park isn’t bad. The staff is very nice and most visitors seemed nice. The road into the site has some treacherous curves on the approach from either direction. The restrooms are awful . The place is more of a trailer park than a camp and the full timers spend a lot of time driving around in golf carts and trucks. Two carts were flying very large Confederate battle flags. One golf cart flying the Rebel flag drove by our site repeatedly, leaving us wonderingif the camp had some agenda operating about which we knew nothing. After a few days of this that the only thing this individual might be rebelling against might be the condition of the restrooms. He had a sign on hi trailer which said something like “that’s right, we’re Rebels”. The whole thing was odd and off putting. He has the absolute right to display his flag and we have the right to spend our money elsewhere.

Great place for the family. Much cheaper than other camp grounds in the area like Muddy Run

Warning, this will be lengthy. I used to camp here almost every weekend during summer when I was younger. I decided I wanted to bring my kids here to make more memories. I booked our site, but was unsure of the location so a few days prior to check in I went there to view it. I was beyond shocked by how much it has changed. The majority, if not all, of the middle section are full timers. When I go camping I try to stay away from places like this. I then went to the site we were to stay at. It was by the pond and unmarked. I had to ask them where the site was. Another issue was getting into the site with a pop up because the ground was so unlevel. I asked the staff about it and a gentleman showed me exactly how to get in and if we had any issues he would be more than happy to help. We were going move, but figured out of the whole campground by the pond would be best. Now with all that being said... We checked in, the location was away from everyone in the park. My kids went swimming all day and had a blast. At night it was nice to relax in peace and quiet. We had the whole area to ourselves! Only downfall to this site were the gnats and the smell of the water, the smell was god awful when the wind blew our way, however I would choose this site all over again. The staff was AMAZING. I was worried about getting out of the site and they offered to drive me out if need be. The bathrooms near our site were clean, but a little strange. The stalls were up to my chin, I'm about 5'7", and very small. The shower area was small as well. Every night three little ducks came near our site to sleep which was cute and ever once in awhile during the day we would see them walking around. All around we had a great stay! As far as other reviews go, I can not confirm nor dispute what they are saying since my site was far away from others. The only thing I can confirm is there are A LOT of full timers. I also can't say enough how awesome the staff is. Every single person was extremely helpful and that alone makes me want to go back...only if I can get the same site with no one around. Oh, I can't forget about the location! Tucquan is near The Buck which is awesome if you're into tractor pulls and events like that. The drive to Lancaster is also not bad. We found a few cool places to visit just by driving down back roads. Hope this helps a little

The place is nothing but a dust hole. You can't even eat out side for the permanent running back and forth with there golf carts stirring up dust. WILL NEVER BE BACK !!!!!!! TO ALL THIS IS A WARNING.
