They only care about money. They took my dog and doing me a "favor" by not charging me kennel fees for taking her in for the weekend. We are in the middle of moving and could not provide proof of shots and license so now i have to pay for it again.

The receptionist at the animal control is so rude and disgusting it's 4:08 pm on 5/10 so whoever works answering the phones at that time either needs customer service skills or a new job! We found a white dog roaming around our neighborhood and called to get the dog some help or something so it wouldn't get hit by a car and the lady on the phone acted like I was reporting a stolen bike or something. This is a living thing and needs to be picked up so it doesn't get harmed. If you're not an animal lover, don't work with animals.we need a new system where strays and lost animals have a chance! You suck animal control receptionsist!!!!

I usually go to their physical location to renew our Mpls licenses and dog park tags. They are very helpful and the shelter itself keeps improving with new dog runs and a cleaner, bigger space. The few times I've called 311 to report a loose animal they have responded quickly.

Seriously. What a joke. I called to complain about a neighbors aggressive animal with a history of biting the children and pets in the area. The responding officers told me that the situation was past "limitations" (5 months WITH medical bills and proof of aggression). Not only did they not do ANYTHING, they cited me for not having a pet registered. This place is garbage.

Animal control was very professional while quicly responding to an unfortunate incident of cat who died after being by car in 32nd and Johnson St. The officer who responded told me it happens often in the City of Minneapolis when pet owners let their animals roam. I was tramatized by this young beautiful now deceased animal while he sadly seemed used to this unpleasant job.. Person I spoke to on phone courteous and respectfull too. I thought you did a great job with your quick, efficient response.
