I am trying to port my voucher from St. Paul to Minneapolis. I was asked to find a five bedroom house. However, I am only able to find a six bedroom house at $2200 and my voucher is for 5 bedroom at $1934. So, what am I supposed to do? Who should I contact about this issue? Please respond to me as soon as possible. Thanks!

As a working individual in the non-profit world, My colleague and I was helping a participant find out some information on his CRP form and we were very disappointed by an individual staff at Minneapolis Public Housing Authority. Unfortunately I was unable to get her name but the woman we spoke to was someone who could access information on "number of units on this property" on the CRP form. We called around 11:44am on 4/10/17 and during our conversation the woman started raising her voice and yelling at us. She yelled at us saying we didn't need that information to file taxes. I am a certified VITA Tax preparer through the IRS and our system says we do need to provide that information. She repeatedly yelled at us saying they have never provide that kind of information and that we didn't need it. Then we politely asked her if we could talk to someone else who has access to that kind of information. She then let out a huge "sigh" over the phone and started clicking away. Then she rudely asked us for the Property ID number and when we provided her with that information she yelled at us again and said she wasn't asking for the property ID but the address of the resident. My colleague and I were really confused and completely in shock with how she was talking to us. At the end we still thanked her for her assistance and then she just hung up on us. I don't know who this woman is but I hope your organization can find out and address this with her personally. We couldn't believe this was the attitude and tone she was using towards clients/participants with questions.

Thankful for the support that my family received as we lived in public housing for the past 18 years. We had EXCELLENT interaction with the staff and received great service. Thank you for the opportunity to live in dignity. We are now home owners, and PROUDLY share our experience living in public housing from the day we got to the US up until we were finally ready to own our own property.

I can't find out who accept section 8 vouchers. The apartment listing are for subsidized housing already, you can't use the voucher at a subsidized housing. I want to move because City limit apartments go up on the rent every year. It's really hard for me, I'm disabled and I don't have a car to get around to find landlords who accept section 8 vouchers. This is so fustrating the lower my income is the more rent I pay, I just don't understand why.
