I am a current employee at Minnesota Mental Health Clinic and I love my job. Competitive wages, great benefits and time off available in advance. The management are very understanding and treat their employees with respect and are behind them 100%. I highly recommend this place for employment and for patient services. All staff here take their jobs very seriously and I couldn't be happier with my job!

They really take the confidentially rule too seriously even though I was under the age of 18 and going here for self harm and suicideal thoughts. But my mom wanted to know if I was having those thoughts and wants to make sure that I would be safe at home.

I love my therapist, but the Eagan location is absolutely awful. I’ve been a patient there for around five years. I’ve had two therapists in that time, and they’ve both been amazing. I was seeing Dr. Tichey for psychiatry because she’s the only one who does Saturday appointments. She was late for almost every appointment, and I always felt really rushed. But I was kind of in a bind because I could only go on Saturdays. About a year ago, I decided to wean off meds and continue therapy. I discussed it with Dr. Tichey and was told it wouldn’t be a problem. A few weeks ago, I wanted to make another appointment with her. I was told I couldn’t because I was inactive. I was also told I should have received a letter about it. I hadn’t received any letter at all. I was told Dr. Tichey wouldn’t be taking new patients. I explained I wasn’t new, I was inactive. I was told I could see someone else but no one would do Saturday appointments. I asked to speak to Dr. Tichey directly. I left her a voicemail. Nearly a week later, her receptionist called me back. I was told she would take me back but I’d have to do an intake. But I can’t do an intake on a Saturday and if I want to do an intake with Dr. Tichey, it would have to be on a Monday or Wednesday. Not only that, I could only make the appointment a day in advance IF there was an hour she had free. I have to request time off from my job at least two weeks in advance. So basically, she’s impossible to see. I questioned her receptionist about this and was told it was clinic policy. I asked why it was clinic policy and why I hadn’t received a letter, but she clearly didn’t know. It was a huge headache and way more trouble than it’s worth, especially to have your psychiatrist be late and then rush you out. My therapist informed me that she’ll be moving to a different clinic, and I’m going to go right along with her and try to find psychiatry service somewhere else. The Eagan clinic is a mess.

All I know is the two doctors, a therapist and the psychologists I see. Also the original therapist I seen before he retired, that's actually referred me to the psychologist. All three! Amazing. They care, listen, help! And I've never felt that way about any doctor I've had before. They definitely work for me and for what's in my best interests! It's amazing having them on my side! Thank you!
