If your hunting something to do with kids in the Jackson area, this is it. We've visited here quite a few times over the years and it's NEVER let us down. The museum is located inside a park, you have to pay to enter the park. The museum has several static displays of animal skeletons, stuffed wildlife and typically has a temporary display. On my last visit one of the staff members brought out a real possum and let it roam the area (indoors). The visitors were allowed to pet the possum. They also have an aquarium hall that has some floor to ceiling aquariums. There are some smaller ones too. Most contain local fish species, some have reptiles like snakes & frogs. On the backside they have an area with alligators and turtles. Then out back there are nature trails you can walk. We always enjoy visiting here and there's something all ages can enjoy & appreciate. They also have a gift shop too. I would recommend this place to others.

Loved it! Would love to come back in the spring when it’s greener. It makes me sad that the alligator snapper was in such a small tank. Will definitely come back and bring a picnic for the awesome park

Inexpensive place that the kids loved. Really nice exhibits. Great hiking trails.

Fun little museum. Perfect size to see everything in a reasonable time. Very informative. The adults and kids both enjoyed!
