Everything here is great, except for the sorbet flavors. The sorbets tend to be too icy and taste very artificially flavored so I would stay away from those. Also, this place is definitely a bit pricey for its portion sizes and you can probably find a lot of alternative, more filling dessert options in the city. Besides that though, the ice cream flavors all truly were phenomenal. I don’t know if I would come back here but for what it’s worth, I had a great time when I did go!
They have couple of vegan flavors. The would generally allow 1-2 people at a time - you might have to wait outside. My friends and I tried it for the first time, we were excited about the concept, but didn’t really enjoy the flavors. We tried all the vegan flavors possible including the flavor of the month - Mango, coconut, açaí, macha, …
A great place for a one bite take out dessert of mochi. Various flavors to choose from. Flavors are authentic and taste exactly as named. Skin to filling ratios were perfect. Even the sorbet filling mochi was amazing and fresh. $3.25 for each bite and deals if you buy more. Could eat these all day everyday!
Mochi ice cream with unique flavors you can't find in supermarkets. Passionfruit : pretty tart but actually tastes like passionfruit. Earl Grey : sweetest of the four and had a distinguishable tea flavor. Black sesame : personally thought the black sesame flavor was pretty light. Lychee : this one was really icy and didn't taste like lychee at all. I read in other reviews I read that the sorbets were icy and this one was definitely icy. The passionfruit surprisingly wasn't though. Overall would come here again to try 4 new flavors.
tiny takeout dessert shop serving mochi ice cream bites. the shop, itself, is very small but neat and welcoming. The variety of mochi flavors are in a glass display from mango to salted caramel to matcha and many more. there also have vegan mochi. definitely a nice place to grab something sweet while shopping or walking around SoHo. i got the salted caramel as well as matcha mochis. i really liked both. the mochi rice dough was thin and chewy—and the ice cream in each mochi was really rich without being overly sweet. the bits of caramel in the salted caramel ice cream were great flavor bombs. the matcha was a nice and clean flavor without being too earthy and had the right balance of sweetness against the matcha tea flavor. overall, these are great little treats. they are kinda pricy at $3 a pop bc they are so small but they are high quality and taste great. the 4 for $10 is a good deal.
High quality mochi ice cream. The price is quite high but worth the money if you are a big mochi ice cream fan. My three favorite flavors are purple sweet potato, milk&cereal and cake batter.
Tried the hojicha one, super good! Like matcha, but less herby/bitter with slightly roasted taste. Soft exterior, good amount of ice cream inside. On the pricier side, ~$3.50 for one piece. Small interior with nowhere to sit, but cute shop to stop by and enjoy a refreshing treat :
the mochi are good!! great flavor selection with traditional favs matcha, sesame, ube and seasonal ones pandan pistachio. not overly sweet, and taste like natural ingredients. the packaging is nice so makes good gifts too
This is one of the best mochi ice cream I have tried. It's delicious & creamy. The mochi melts in your mouth. The shop is really small and they do not have indoor seating. There are variety of flavors available to pick. We got Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Thai Tea, Mango, & Matcha Latte. All tasted really good. The price is worth the amazing product. Would definitely visit again.
The staff was incredibly generous, friendly, and did her best to complete our large order as fast as she can. We ordered the omakase set and 2 matcha lattes with oat milk. The omakase Mochi set since it was above 30 dollars came with a free insulated bag with dry ice to ensure we can bring our mochi ice cream home without it melting! The bag is very good quality and each box that holds four mochis were cutely designed and neatly packed. The mochi ice creams were delicious and not overwhelmingly sweet; a perfect balance between chewy, creamy, and sweet! Highly recommend the espresso flavor or the açaí if you like sour! The matcha latte with oat was meh, could do without it for the matcha was very mild and the oat too strong wish they had regular milk as an option but they only have oat and soy if I'm not mistaken. Nonetheless, the main character of this story is the mochi so to that end, they were delicious and worth trying! Thanks for reading and good luck! :
