Story

Moss Landing is a nature-lover's paradise founded in the 1800s as a seaport and fishing village. Located in the heart of Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, it offers a little bit of something for everyone. Take a scenic nature tour through Elkhorn Slough, one of California's largest coastal wetlands, or catch a chartered whale-watching cruise out of the harbor. A vision of seaside Americana, Moss Landing is a place where you can catch fresh fish straight off the boat. The town's antique shops and art galleries provide a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Come for a visit and see the best that Monterey Bay has to offer! From this KOA, it's just a short walk to the beach. Many delightful restaurants are also within a few minutes walk. A short 15-minute drive will take you to Santa Cruz or Monterey.

A wonderful place to stay. It's extremely well kept up. Close to several excellent restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Elkhorn slough is a wildlife wonderland, there is a 1.5 mile or so walking path along the slough complete with cotton tails darting across it. At the end you can walk back on the beach.

Friendly staff, getting the camp in better shape. They need better cable and wifi service to get 5 stars from me. But definitely can't ask for better staff!!

It's our go to local place to escape and enjoy the sounds of the seals, birds and ocean. The fog horn is silent for some reason and is missed.

This location is close to the beach and some pretty good restaurants. I look forward to coming to Moss Landing and not "cooking". There are always some sea otters swimming around and this weekend several seals. Thank you, Larry and Raquel for your great hospitality and keeping the KOA spotless. Looks wonderful. And, Larry thanks for the ladder! Who would guess the RV door would get stuck and lock us out. I still wish I had my phone to take a picture of Bobs legs sticking out of the bedroom window. All ended well and we hope to be back soon. .
