I specifically called this location to request a handicap room with bars in the bathroom. I usually just book online. I recently lost my leg and needed a handicap room. My confirmation even read: Room description: 2 Full Beds | Standard Accessible. When we got to the Motel we found out all of the handicap rooms were being renovated. NO ONE CALLED TO INFORM ME. I specifically left my cell phone number with the desk when I reserved the room in case something unforeseen should arise. We always travel and use Motel 6 when we travel. We used to like the idea of always expecting clean rooms with no surprises. And to top it all off the room was dirty and hot. We tried to cool the room down with air conditioning and all that came out was hot air. We opened the window and no screen. I used to say I would recommend Motel 6. But I would never recommend this one.

First we were kind of suspicious because when checking in, she tried to charge us again for our room even though we paid for it online. She then told us we had to pay $100 cash deposit which was odd because she told the people before us $60 and some other people that came after us paid $50. If you can avoid staying here, please do. The first room was very hot because the air conditioner did not work so we were moved to the room next door. The next room was very disgusting. The bathroom was so nasty it looked like somebody took a dump in the bath tub. The refrigerator was nasty as well and my kids and I kept feeling like something was crawling on us when we laid in the bed. We were itching all night. This place was horrible and had I known it would be like this I would have never stayed here. This place sets Motel 6 back a lot. I've been to some way nicer Motel 6 but this particular location is the reason nobody likes the idea of staying here.

Very comfortable stay, the rooms were being renovated and we got a freshly finished one, the only caveat being the door lock didn’t work with our key, and almost didn’t work with the master key, but the staff was very kind and helpful and eventually got us into the room so it more than made up for that. Otherwise you’re in a motel in Barstow so don’t expect much location-wise, the shower was hot and the bed was admittedly incredible, we got a renovated room which meant a memory foam mattress! I honestly think I got a better sleep here than I do at home

This place got fully remodeled recently only from the inside!! Outside isn't pretty. We used this place to sleep! So it does the job perfectly. The people at the front desk were very nice.

1. I had to pay a $100 deposit along with my room in cash for $162.30. I had to go to an ATM to give her cash. 2. When I got into the room, I called for an extra pillow and a plastic fork to eat my food with. She said that she had neither. 3. The AC was actually the heater that I couldn't turn off. This happened as I was going to sleep. She said that there was not maintenance and that she could only move me to another room. 4. When I got to the new room, I tested the AC and it was the heater as well!( Both instances, it said "AC in the control box.) When I called the front desk, she said that she could only refund my money. I had to get up early so I just stayed in the room. I opened the door for a few minutes to cool the room down. 5. Because of the delays in getting to sleep, I didn't have time to shower. I just went to my appointment like that.
