It's a nice place to be at. Very accessible to other parts of route 66. Overall I enjoyed being there and seeing some of the sites of the famed route 66

The room was clean, but stripped down to basics. No vanity cabinet with sink in the bathroom, just a free standing sink. No dresser, but a nice flatscreen TV on the wall. No closet, but there is a table for 2 in the "dining" area. There was a mini fridge and microwave. The pillows are old and flat and the bed was comfy.

Really enjoyed our stay! We were passing through Barstow on our way to Vegas and needed a spot to rest and relax. We chose Route 66 Motel because of the awesome reviews and the fact that it reminded us of Radiator Springs from Cars. We had our 4 year old son with us who happens to be obsessed with anything Lightning McQueen or Cars related. We told him it was the Cozy Cone Motel and we genuinely enjoyed walking him around to see all the awesome old vehicles, vintage decor and trinkets throughout the property. The owners even came out and talked to us- they were friendly and very pleasant to chat with. Needless to say, our son loved it and he will surely remember his stay at the "Cozy Cone" Route 66 Motel in "Radiator Springs" Barstow. :) :)

The owners were incredibly friendly, even though we didn't arrive until midnight. This is a no frills kind of place as far as amenities go, but for the price, it is absolutely great. It was very clean, didn't have any questionable smells or stains that give you pause. There are a gazillion photo opportunities outside the motel, because it is decorated in a super charming vintage style.

The route 66 motel was very cute on the outside. Lots of old cars and the office was filled with cool decor. It was very affordable and a good halfway point between Utah and the Bay Area. Only made it 3 stars because the windows were very thin. We heard police sirens go by many times at night and car alarms went off waking us up.
