The room was fairly clean and the people at the front desk were nice.  HOWEVER, my friend who stayed in room 163, had bedbugs in her room (we have photos!) and she woke up covered in bites.  The hotel only gave her half her money back!!!  That's ridiculous!!!  I don't have any bites but now I am scared to death that I brought them home as well since my dogs started itching after we checked in.  Also I was approached by two men on separate occasions asking for money.  A little scary since I am a 37 year old single woman rooming with only my dogs.  I will not be staying at this hotel again.

We had need of an accessible room and were very satisfied with wide spaces. Had use of a small refrigerator. Initially had an issue with operating tv - called front desk who dispatched assistance immediately. Everything worked, heating unit worked really well. Shower floor looked a bit sketchy, but we had a shower chair and water pressure was very good. Centrally located. Easy to get food without driving. Great lobby.

Tabby hurt her leg badly because brackets meant to hold queen box springs were holding full size beds and sticking out 5" but covered by the bedspread. The vent in the bathroom wasn't even screwed into the wall. where the power switch for it went was covered with a solid plate I have pictures if you'd like to see them. No microwave, the refrigerator was so frosted up it would not cool at all. 

Would have been better off sleeping in the car.

I asked for a couple of extra blankets at the front desk because everybody but me like sleeping in a cold room and was given one blanket that was almost as thin as a sheet and was told that was the only blanket they had.

This was a pretty good hotel considering it was old and worn out.  All basics were there and staff was efficient.
For the money paid it was fine.

As far as a cheap hotel in downtown Nashville it wasn't bad. There weren't any bugs and it was fairly clean. The bed mattresses definitely need an upgrade.
