When I booked the room, I knew it was Motel 6, so I didn't expect extras, but I did hope for more than what we found. The room was at least clean. I give it that. Or we probably would have left. There were people outside the rooms drinking and talking loudly when we arrived at around 11:00 p.m. There was no carpet in the room at all. The shower was tiny and there was no shampoo and no blow dryer. At 6:00 in the morning there were again people talking loudly outside our room. Luckily we didn't spend a whole lot of time . At the room and it was functional mostly.

Called Dean for early check-in reservation, which he did and double-checked. Tami was fun and helpful as usual. They both ensured I got my same room (129) as I had over 2 months last summer. Two other ladies also help during my stay. Both were friendly and helpful. Hope management provides raise/bonus for this team's consistent and continued performance. Douglas

The room and amenities are average for a motel 6; clean enough, not outstanding. The mini-refrigerator/freezer unit worked well. The A/C unit was very loud. The area is nice if you have pets because there is a large grassy area adjacent to the Motel 6 and Hampton Inn properties. The woman working the desk both nights that we were there was very friendly. My friend's room smelled strongly of cat urine and they found another room for her without hassle.

Whatever you do don't stay here! Go stay somewhere else. Only nice thing about this place is the desk clerk refunded us when we complained and the TV. The shower flooded the room so bad there was water up to top of my toes. The flood got all my luggage wet. The rooms only have stall showers which flood. The water goes from freezing to scalding repeatedly. My disabled son got scalded really bad. Their shower scalded him bad enough two days later he's still burnt and having to use medicine cream and bandages. Also when room flooded because shower doesn't drain he fell on slippery shower floors and got even more hurt. The rooms wreak of smoke and drugs. Got a non smoking room yet it still had a ashtray. The bed is rock hard and lumpy. No power plugs on sides of bed only one in whole room over by TV. No other sitting furniture besides the bed. No movie channels. No fridge or mucrowave. Only one ice machine on property. This hotel is nearby refineries so the air smells like rotten eggs. Room was $80 spend $20 more and go to a Hilton or Marriott.

After staying downtown SLC and not liking it at all, I was VERY HAPPY with this location at Woods Cross north of town. It was clean, meticulous, friendly staff and in a great location too. I would highly recommend this location if in the area. It is worth the extra drive a couple (7-8 miles more) miles further to have piece of mind. Great place and thanks for asking.
