I was very impressed with Motivated Movers from start to finish. I called for an estimate, and an appointment was arranged for the next day for a walk through to ensure an accurate figure.  Coy, the gentleman performing the estimate, was timely, professional, and courteous.  He provided me with the quote later that day.  It was a very fair price and less than the competition.  Over the next month Coy was available by phone if I had a question.  I called twice, and he answered both times.  No leaving messages.  No being on hold.  Just picked up the phone and spoke directly to him.  Then, on the day before our move, he called to confirm everything and give a firm time.  On move day, the crew leader, Cory, called me 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival time to say they would be a few minutes early.  When they showed up, they were also very pleasant and professional.  They took a tour of my home and quickly made a plan for the most efficient way to pack the trucks.  They were extraordinarily careful with my belongings and the home.  They were clearly very experienced.  Throughout the morning they loaded the trucks, and, each time after placing something in the truck, they would actually run back from the truck to the house.  That was impressive, saved time, and, in the end, saved me money.  The best part is they never complained about a thing.  I have moved 6 out of the last 7 years, and every other time I have listened to movers complain about stairs or how heavy a piece of furniture was.  These guys were upbeat and did not utter a single complaint.  And that was while moving a ton of furniture out of a split level and into a 3 story home all the while with my 2 young children running around and getting in their way.  Before leaving the home I was moving out of, we took another tour of the house to make sure that nothing was left behind.  At the new home, I asked them to move some huge area rugs up and down stairs, which they didn't expect to have to do but happily did.  At the end of the day, the job had take 2 hours less than the original estimate.  All my furniture had been disassembled and reassembled perfectly and placed where it was supposed to be.  The boxes were organized by room making my unpacking job much easier.  I really could not be more pleased with Motivated Movers.  Additionally, if price is the main driver of your choice, they are actually less than most of their competition.  TM&AT was outrageous.  AMS sent a person out for the estimate who clearly did not want to be there at all.  The quote was similar but did not include the insurance that you automatically get with Motivated.  And A+ took 2 weeks to come out and give me an estimate.  By the time they did, they didn't have availability on my move day.  In fairness, their quote was 1% than Motivated - so insignificant that it's barely worth mentioning.  In the end, they may have taken the full time of their estimate which would have cost me considerably more than I paid Motivated who finished early.  So, in conclusion, these guys know what they are doing and are very pleasant to work with.  I highly recommend you choose them to help you with you move.  I am glad that I did.  It was by far the best moving experience I have ever had.

I called motivated movers for a quote and was told $135 per hour for a 3 man crew and a $180 flat fee for the 1 hour drive for the move. They showed up that morning with only 2 guys. I told them we discussed having 3 guys, so they called in a 3rd guy who arrived an hour later. I was told it would be $155 an hour. I was then informed the flat fee would be $225. I complained, the boss was called, and they decided to lower the prices to what I was quoted. Then 30 minutes later I was told the prices had gone up again. The movers themselves were great. I wouldn't recommend this company though. If you do use them make sure you get a copy of a signed agreement for prices so they don't screw you over.
