About

We offer a premium movie-going experience that caters to adults but is family friendly. We offer an in-theatre dining experience featuring first-run movies combined with a wide range of chef prepared menu selections.

Story

Movie Tavern requires minors to be accompanied by an adult guardian, encouraging families to enjoy our offerings together while maintaining a pleasant experience for all of our guests.

As a courtesy to our guests, children ages 6 and under are not allowed into R-rated movies.

A great selection of food & drinks including alcoholic beverages all served in-cinema at an affordable price, is what separates Movie Tavern from other cinemas.

How Does It Work?
At Movie Tavern, guests are encouraged to arrive 45 minutes prior to their movie show time. This allows them to select their seats and decide which chef-inspired appetizer, entree or dessert they would like to enjoy during the movie or relax and eat in our bar. We also carry a wide selection of your favorite in-cinema treats such as fresh popcorn, candies and more.

Our unobtrusive servers are there to assist you with ordering food in the cinema before the movie begins. With a push of a button, your server can be there to assist you when you need another cocktail or have decided on a dessert.

I’ve been going here for years and always loved it until now. The new seats are amazing, but that’s where it stops. The price of everything went up an insane amount, to the point where we can no longer afford to take our family of 5. I took only my son and his friend last night and it was still too much. It cost me $30 for 3 tickets and $71 for food and drinks (not including the tip). Who wants to spend over $100 to watch a movie? Also, the new menu is not good at all. Steak and shrimp at a movie theater, really??? I only had the spinach and artichoke dip, which used to be my favorite, but I didn’t even finish the small $10 bowl. Basically, if you want to go, then eat before you get there. Sorry for being so negative, but the menu and prices need to go back to how they were or I think you’re going to start losing loyal customers.

This is the only movie theater I go to. The food is great and the chairs are comfortable. I don't think I've ever had a truly terrible experience. There are a few cons however. In the 10 years or so I've been coming to this place the food prices have steadily increased. What used to be a meal worth $8 now costs $10-$11. The waitstaff aren't always the best either. Ask for a side of ketchup/honeymustard/ranch with your meal and 9 out of 10 times you won't be brought it. More than once I or a friend has ordered a drink and the movie be over half over before it's brought out. And just 2 weeks ago I pressed the button to order, the waiter came by and took the menu (which I wasn't done with), unpressed the button, and walked away before I could say anything and begun taking the order of a group on the other side of the row and then acted scandalized when I called him back so I could order. But things like this don't happen all the time, only occasionally, so all in all, a decent experience.

This place had a history of great food at a great price. Since the remodel in 2016 the food has really struggled. Not only did the menu quality change but the prices went up. I would love to see this place restored to glory!

I've been going to the Movie Tavern as long as I can remember. It's a decent place to see a movie. The staff are helpful, and the theaters are up-to-date. The tavern has grown into a fairly well known theater that multiple generations have been to. However, I can't give the food the same rating as I would have originally. I've had multiple dishes from the Movie Tavern that have had multiple problems. It seems every-time I eat an entree from there I end up feeling sick the next day. It just seems like there has been a major decrease in the quality of the food. There are some dishes where it's easy to tell that it isn't fresh or hand-made. The popcorn, desserts, drinks, and some of the appetizers are what I would recommend ordering if you want to order something to eat. However, I would be wary about anything else on the menu. I would also avoid eating any meal with red-meat or cream. Overall, I give it a well-earned 3/5. I have a fair history of the place, and have seen it go through many changes. The service and theaters still hold up nice, but the real problem lies in the food.

Movie Tavern is a great place to go see a movie if you want to treat yourself, your friends, or your significant other. The 4 star rating stems from how expensive it is- it's 4.95 for a tea and I'm a college student, but you get free refills (unlike some places! cough cough Cinepolis cough cough) and quite a bit in your cup. Me and my roommate went to go see Infinity War in their largest theater, and it was very comfortable! My roommate had never been to a movie tavern before and his main worry going into it was that the wait staff would always be in the way. He was pleasantly surprised that the wait staff, after they took orders during the previews, were very stealthy and moved quickly in and out of the theater during the movie, and barely noticed them throughout the 2 1/2 hour film. The food was also good, but again very expensive (13 dollars for a basket of chicken tenders). I understand that this is how they make most of their money, but dang y'all. The chicken was overall pretty good, and the staff that waited on us during the movie were very nice. I also liked that we had the option to pay at the beginning of the movie right after we ordered so only the phantom of the money I spent on that meal was left to haunt me afterwards, though you could always order more stuff if you wanted to. The seats were very comfortable and reclined like other movie taverns, though some people might be prone to taking naps in them as they are very comfortable.
