Mr. Peabody's neighborhood sports bar, grill & live music venue of Encinitas since 2001 offers hardy portions prepared from original recipes made from scratch daily using the finest ingredients available & served in a friendly atmosphere at an affordable price. Known for turkey burgers, turkey tacos, prime rib, salads, happy hour, breakfast, build your own bloody mary bar, $1.50 mimosa special, daily specials, trivia, comedy, karaoke, open mic, jazz, stand up comedy, big city sing along, paint and party, country music, live music happy hour Saturdays and live rock bands weekends. Open at 7am & serve breakfast till 3pm, dinner menu till 1am.

Six in our party showed up for dinner. The waitress told us we could configure the tables to our liking. We pulled 2 tables together and got on with it. Our waitress was very efficient took our drink orders, and was back for our food orders before anyone got impatient. The food arrived piping hot and tasty! My husband ordered the fish and chips. I begged a taste and was very pleased to say it was excellent. Thin flaky batter with fresh Atlantic cod. Next time we come back I'm getting the fish and chips. My protein style burger was cooked medium as I requested. Even the bun (on the side) was toasted-Very good. Lots of fresh Avacado and the sauteed mushrooms side was very good. Prices excellent. I got the chardonnay. Eloise got the chopped salad and onion soup. Salad great, but refused to eat the onion soup. Always one in the group. All in all the A rating displayed in the window was well earned! It was karaoke Tuesday. But my husband was ready to hit the sack after a long drive from Vegas. They were just warming up when we left. No one drunk enough to get going before we left. There is a strict NO DANCING policy because of some queer ordinance but Mr. Peabody is working on getting a license for DANCING! WHAT THE WHAT! Still a great local bar and grill! We will be back!

Yes, Peabody is better each time I come here. Yes, I don't get here as much as I would like. Like 2 or 3 times a year but Peabody had what it takes to stay afloat. We had craft brews & nachos. Good as it gets. Next time, prime rib. 😁

Was there Saturday nite. Music was outstanding. Love the barmaids. Food is ALWAYS good. Big plus for me is my son-in-law doesn't like it. He stays home with my grandson and I get to enjoy my daughter.

The entire staff is completely friendly and I will be happy to recommend anyone that wants great food and a comfortable dinning experience. Say hello to Amber and everything is good there.
