Zero Stars. But the system only allows a minimum of 1 star. The plumber for Mr. Rooter came out to give me a bid on installing a new electric hot water heater. He said a permit was not required and that an expansion tank was required. As this was the exact opposite of what the previous company had said, I called the code enforecement division with the city of Boise. They said that a permit was required and that an expansion tank was not. The first company was honest. Based on this, I couldn't trust this company to do work at my home. Zero stars!!

The Mr. Rooter employee was honest about the potential cost. He was quick to respond and kept me updated about my problem with the drain. He worked up to 8 pm on a Saturday to resolve the block with my drain line. I was very pleased with the service I received.

Called this company on a water loss back in Dec. The situation quickly turned into an insurance claim which resulted in the full remodel of my kitchen. They fixed the broken pipe at a reasonable cost but allegedly my water heater was leaking and slowing the drying process in my kitchen as it shares a wall to the heater. It was discussed that the surrounding floors, pipes and water heater would be replaced at $1300. Ed's Ipad was not working (again) and wasn't able to get me the bid directly but I trusted them to move forward only to find wet floors, old pipes and a new water heater when I got home. When I called to ask about the situation it was like our previous conversation never happened. The wet floors that the water heater was sitting on were saturated and they told me that would be additional charge to replace as well as the old pipes. When I demanded to know what the cost of their work was, and get an actual bid I was called by Harris the manager who explained they had just replaced the water heater for $1300. I asked them to promptly come back and pick up their unit as I'm not a moron and know I could buy three heaters for that cost. Note: A new heater, pan and all the extras was $468 at home depot. Took my neighbor 45 min to install (compared to the 4-5 hours it took two of their employees). Two nights ago I look under my kitchen sink to find yet another leak coming from the water line connected to the pipe they just replaced. When I called Mr Rooter and spoke with Harris, he refused to come out and even look at the situation. I was told that they had eaten too much cost on the water heater and tried giving me the number of another plumber. I am disgusted by the behavior of these people and have never felt more taken advantage of. Save yourself the headache.

Mr Rooter to the rescue. I had a main water line bust and a septic explode. Mr Rooter saved the day for sure. Very professional and dependable. Harris was accommodating and worked with all the financing problems that occurred. I will be using them in the future for sure on top of their work just being superb. The education and explanations offered were over and above the normal. ABC Septic even had to learn some things from these guys showing their level of education and professionalism. Ask for Mr. Rooter and remember that they are WORTH the MONEY!

While working in our backyard on a Sunday, we accidentally punctured our sewage line and the Mr. Rooter team promptly answered our call and came over after hours to help fix our sewage line and prevent more sewage from spilling out. They were quick to respond and help in a time of need, though as we expected for an after-hours call, they weren’t cheap.
