I noticed most of the four and five star reviews are in regards to the condos and timeshare lodging so be cautious when considering the reviews for a stay at hotel Rome or a village building. Where to start? Parking is pretty crowded unless you come in, say, November, and if you can get a decent rate ($60-80/night at hotel Rome) then it's worth it because that's what the motels across the street charge & they include tickets to Mt. Olympus. The indoor water park is extremely overcrowded even at half capacity, and not much fun for older kids (6+). The cleanliness of the pool area is sub-par to say the least. Food at the "cafe" is overpriced and fresh-from-frozen. Noise at night is awful, the walls are paper thin and quiet time is not enforced- you were warned!! Safety is not actively enforced in the pool areas or on the children's water structure at the indoor waterpark, both of which are severely overcrowded and unregulated to begin with. Lifeguard said "the kids don't listen anyways" which is true, but, is it not the lifeguard's duty to at least attempt to enforce order and safety in the water, if not mandate it? Especially with so many kids, yikes- I was baffled. Otherwise, staff are very friendly and helpful. We have stayed here several times over three years and during all seasons and it never gets better. Unfortunately, your best bet is to get a discounted day pass during the summer for the outdoor water&theme park, but expect to wait in lines for several hours as this is their busiest season. We will not be returning.

Horrible experience...rundown place...falsely advertised! They advertise all inclusive resort rooms...once you get there they tell you the all inclusive is only from noon to 5pm??!! Nowhere ever does all inclusive food and drink mean a 5 hour afternoon window. On top of that the room you book online doesn't specify that you aren't in the normal resort instead you are 2 blocks in a way in a 1 star type motel. On top of that after you have to drive over to the water park in winter...the first 3 parking lots are only for building 1 and 2. So then you get to park 4 blocks away and walk in 10 degree weather. Never ever would I recommend this sham of a resort or glorified motel.

You're not getting a deal: "Offer ends at midnight" is on their website every day. Don't think you'll be saving money by the free food and drink deal, it's just more lies! This place is the GHETTO of Wisconsin Dells!! The tacky blue & white "villages" are like the projects! We have been coming to Mt. Olympus for years, it used to be nice before the owner got greedy. But every time it gets worse. NEVER AGAIN! Mount Olympus boasts 1500 rooms, but fails to mention their indoor waterpark has only 4 slides, a lazy river, and 2 hot tubs (with bandaids and gum floating in it)! After your 30 minute wait to get in the my bathwater is warmer hot tub, you get the stink eye from the other 50 people waiting for their turn to soak in tepid filth. There is 1 tiny disgusting bathroom/changing room. You wait in line of 100 other people to get your wristband scanned to get 1 towel! Don't you dare ask for more than 1 towel or you'll be charged! The offsite "village" rooms have no front desk staff, security or locked entrances so imagine the riff raff. The bellybutton choose to and enjoy staying in the village rooms because there is no supervision! They let their kids run wild all night long! We had to call the cops because MTO security didn't scare these losers. Cops said it happens ALL THE TIME at the Villages! The rooms are filthy/dated straight from 1989 with paper thin walls and skunky weed wafting in the hallway. They don't even give you hand towels or conditioner! They don't clarify that "village" room means offsite Bates motel until you give credit card and hit reserve. The pictures online look NOTHING like the room you get. The employees are like programmed robots accustomed to dealing with complaints. I could go on and on. Staying here is like flushing your hard earned money down the toilet. Unless your expectations are VERY low, you will feel angry (and dirty) when you leave. Pay the extra money and stay at Kalahari or Wilderness!

Absolutely horrible this experience was a nightmare!! We were very upset for one, we weren’t at the main hotel which was not stated in our reservation. The off campus hotel we stayed at was so dirty and run down it was ridiculous, the bathroom door didn’t even close. Plus we were told the wrong room number, which lead us to randomly trying doors until we found the right one. Would be helpful if there was staff here if needed. Obnoxious families running around banging on doors being loud. There was even a domestic fight outside the hotel. Security came here around 10 and was useless and yelling at guests that were watching television but didn’t yell at the obnoxious families or people outside smoking marijuana. The water park was a joke! We had to walk .3 miles from the parking lot to the water park entrance in the cold because you're not allowed to drop anyone off or pick up at the main door of the park. Waiting in line for almost a hour for the disgusting “free” food and beverage, and than being disturbed by the aroma of marijuana in the water park. No changing rooms which is ridiculous if you get stuck “off campus”. The park was so over crowded the kids couldn’t even get in the water. Never again will we come back or recommend this place. Definitely not a family friendly getaway, save your money. Thank you for the horrible experience especially for my sons birthday.

I was staying here for my birthday. The room was fairly inexpensive, but when we arrived we saw there was barely anything to do. The indoor theme park had nothing teenage friendly, water park was the same. When they had told us the outdoor theme park was open only 1 ride was available. The staff looked very displeased and angry to be there. We are capable of cleaning up after ourselves. But the 3 nights we spent, our room was cleaned once only. At 10 pm at night there was loud crashing, banging, and yelling coming from cleaning crew working on a room near by. We Will never be coming back here again.
