My 85 year old mom recently had surgery at Tacoma General. All of the staff were very kind and helpful and took very good care of her. It was a very comfortable atmosphere. Nurses were kind, friendly, and helpful. Physical therapist was great. Everything was clean and well attended too. Very good hospital and staff.

The Doctor Davis in the ER said that he had a Nerologist on Staff but he didn't think that my problem was good enough and offered me a social worker to get help somewhere else. If u make 2 u must act. Bad Doctor!!!

I would not use Tacoma General Hospital! Especially for labor. We have been waitting for more than 7 hours to get labor induction and still waitting. We switched to this hospital from ST Jane hospital because a friend of mine recommended it. This was bad choice.

Absolutely atrocious care given to my daughter. When a mother has to finish closing wounds on her daughter's leg because the 'Dr' who sutured her main wound couldn't be bothered with the three others that clearly needed to be closed, that is malpractice.

By far the worst experience I've ever had in ER. The staff here is uncaring, incompetent, just completely clueless and extremely slow! I came here with a potential eptopic pregnancy in a lot of pain and a lot of bleeding. My doctor faxed over my paperwork earlier in the day so they would expect me not even with that I was taken into consideration. I had to remind the nurse that I hadn't gotten checked in yet and she clearly forgot and said I had a question, why would I have any question I needed to be seen by an OB RIGHT AWAY! Those were the notes clearly written on the fax my doctor sent prior to my arrival to the ER! Then I get someone who doesn't know how to draw blood and is moving the needle around in my arm my blood pressure begins to drop I let her know and she gets offended?! Go back to school and learn how to search for a vain before inserting the needle and just searching for it with the needle!!! Clearly a woman having a miscarriage is not that big of a deal for these people to get off they're asses and get me the proper care. I needed an OB INSTEAD I GET A physician?? Who knew NOTHING about the steps he needed to take led alone what was going on so they sent me home on pain meds! I still can't believe how clueless this staff was. Maybe if I'd show up with a limb hanging from my body they'd pay more attention and actually read my chart and inform themselves before coming to talk to me and asking me what my doctor said, clearly they didn't read the notes! Never coming here again and not to mention how filthy all the glass walls are and the floor hasn't been moped in ages it's black from how dirty it is! Get it together Tacoma General or get SHUT DOWN!
