Being a more mature woman it is difficult to get motivated to go to a gym.  I have to say that if it was not for Jose, I would never have achieved the success that I did.  Not only did Jose adapt the program for my physical condition but also took into account my age.  The exercises he had me do were perfect for tightening up my muscles and giving me more body strength.  I would recommend Jose to anyone, of any age.  He is great and will guide you to success.

One of the best gyms in all of SoCal. . .top notch equipment, great layout, reasonable prices, and most importantly the absolute best trainers. I have seen everything from high school kids to senior citizens training at this gym, and each one getting very personal attention from the trainers. Definitely the place to go for any skill level. Best of all the atmosphere is inviting and not intimidating like many other gyms out there. And unlike the big gyms, that seem to take a "one size fits all" approach, the trainers here actually tailor your work out to your body type, fitness level, age, etc. to make sure that you get the absolute best work out without injury, and with the best results. You can't go wrong with Muscle Under, they can definitely get you into shape!

I started coming to Muscle Under about... four or five years ago, I'm pretty certain. From the very first day I went to Muscle Under for training to my most recent visit, the service is always impeccable, the gym nigh spotless, and everything in proper working order. The staff are likable, though I've worked closest with Jose, who is either due to be the new owner or already is now.

About two years ago, a car (!!) crashed through the front window one Friday night, courtesy of a drunk driver. I went in that Saturday morning at 10am, and when I got there, despite the fact that three massive glass windows had been shattered, there were only the barest quantity of shards on the floor, and those were ones that had been knocked loose from inside one of the treadmills. 

As for why this was the case, Jose had gotten up at 4am, driven to the gym, and worked for hours on end to vacuum, clean, and get down on hands and knees to pick up each and every shard of glass he could find so none of his clients had to worry about it.

Also of note? The windows were fully repaired two weeks later.

Muscle Under is incredible to its clients, flexible, and truly considerate of everybody that comes in the doors. And when you walk out, you will find yourself tired, sweaty, and at the same time fully refreshed.

Jose is a very patient and consistent personal trainer. I've been happy with my results and muscle tone. He's never too pushy and does a great job at providing a training program custom tailored for my needs. I worked with Jose consistently for 1 year. I highly recommend his services as he provides value, integrity and a results driven program!

I started coming to Muscle Under almost 3 years ago and I can say that they are the best gym in LA. Since this is a private gym, there is no feeling of a meat market like other gyms. I have worked with Barry since I joined and he has really helped improve workout regimen and my self image. He also got me into running, I started running some 5Ks and I also ran a half-marathon. The staff is great, Steve and Jose run a great gym, plus they make it fun. If looking for a personal trainer who actually cares about you reaching your goals, then Muscle Under is the place for you.
