There was some interesting items, but we were expecting something more. It was really just a storefront and a room filled with displays that you walk around in. I can't count how many times they said pictures were not allowed...even telling you to go outside to use your phone if necessary! It was a fun and interesting little diversion. Not too expensive but if you are looking for a more 'museum' experience, look somewhere else.
Had mixed feelings about this museum. If it's 100% what you are into it may be your thing but honestly for me the only reason I was there for more then 10 minutes was because I had some of my other loved ones with me that wanted to take their time reading everything. It's pretty small but still a lot of info if you like to readVisited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$16–20
Great place to go if you're interested in the subject matter, especially if you're interested in serial killer memorabilia. For $17, though, I expected much more. It's basically a big room with a bunch of displays. I think that once you've been here, there's not much to draw you back for a repeat visit.
There’s so much information, so definitely check it out on day you’re up for reading. Lots of serial killer information. Videos on how autopsies are done. Lots of death! Very cool experience and they’ve got an amazing gift shop in the front
It was ok. I was definitely expecting more out of this museum. When you first go inside, it's a store and then behind the red curtain is the museum part. You can't take pictures in the museum, which sucks. I thought the taxidermy they had on display was cool, along with the face molds of celebrities like Robin Williams and Michael Jackson as they looked in their casket my favorite part. Other than that, I feel like a lot of that stuff could have been found online, and they covered a lot of notorious serial killers that most people know about, with little to no new or surprising information about them. Not worth it to me, could have spent my money somewhere else.
It is not for the faint of heart. From skeletons to serial killers to Dr. Kevorkian to accidental deaths and news headlines this place had quite a bit. It a little more than we were expecting but enjoyed it none the less. Photos and phones are not allowed out while in the museum but you are able to leave to use your phone then re-enter.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20
I don't know what I was expecting, but I just wasn't impressed for the money spent. Alot of art drawn by serial killers and others. The taxidermy was neat. The jar of teeth was cool. Also, you can't take pictures behind the red curtain.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$31+
Very very cool if you're into the morbid & the macabre. I'm into true crime/serial killers cases so this was a insane experience being able to see documents and photos never seen before. Awesome place to stop and visit! Especially if you're into serial killer/death incidents.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$16–20
Totally worth it! Extensive museum with all aspects of death. History, murder, taxiderm, preservation methods death photos, funeral home history, different types of deaths…… everything We spent a long time here… very interesting and sometimes a bit heavy My only suggestion is to add a section regarding cultural and spiritual beliefs regarding death…it includes every other aspect, but this …and death is so connected to belief systems, customs and spirituality
My second time going and still my favorite museum! I don’t understand these bad reviews on here…it tells you straight up what you’re going to see. It’s a museum of DEATH…what do you expect? There is so much information about serial killers in here; including letters they wrote, drawings, paintings, and personal items. It takes well over an hour to fully experience and read through all of the exhibits. Even longer if you choose to watch the autopsy video in the main area or go back into the theater. Staff is incredibly friendly and exhibits are 100% authentic items that you won’t see in person anywhere else! HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you’re a true crime junkie!!
