Excellent gift shop, historical tour, and small distillery. We signed up for the free complimentary tour on their website. We had low expectations given it was a free tour, but were blown away by how good it was. The and interactive historical displays were top notch. There were free cocktail tasting stations with knowledgeable employees that explained the origins of what you were tasting. Highly recommend taking this tour.
This is a pretty incredible place. Highly recommended as a top stop in New Orleans. Especially if you're a drinker, a review of the history and creation of different alcohols cocktails Etc is really fascinating. Make a reservation and show up the tour is free. You get to taste several cocktails after understanding their history. Turns out Sazerac owns half the alcohol companies in the industry and really enjoys talking about what they do. Great visit, thanks!
My husband and I LOVED this experience. Between the guides on each floor showing us how each drink was made traditionally and the interactive displays... we had a ball. The drink samples definitely were an excellent touch. I would recommend this experience to everyone that I know.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entryFree
The sazerac house is an exploration in the history of the namesake, followed by the bitters and rum that all became famous due to New Orleans! This is a great self-guided tour that has samples throughout each floor. If you're an enthusiast who likes to learn a little bit more about the history, this is a great place to go that has wonderful staff who are very knowledgeable. The gift shop offers prices at a fair rate, but does not always have all of its offerings available as some are limited. There are no tastings other than what's on the tour. It is still a worthwhile visit, and the tour is free!
Can't believe the tour is free and easily available. It was absolutely fantastic with a wealth of information. The interactive bits were too good. 3 different drink samples included as well. Worth the trip! Reserve online. We got same day reservations.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entryFree
Absolutely loved everything about Sazerac House! The self guided tour and tasting are free and so much fun. The staff is knowledgeable and the items sold there are reasonably priced. My favorite features are the virtual bartenders...what a cool concept! If you're into fine liqueurs and whiskey, this is for you!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree
Stumbled upon this gem while walking around. I love whiskey, so I found the history and process extremely interesting. It's a self guided tour, so you can take as much time as you'd like on 3 different floors, and there are samples of various drinks and bitters as well. All the staff is very knowledgeable and were also all very friendly.
Had an amazing experience at the Sazerac House! Easily made a reservation for a complimentary tour, and happened to visit during the museums three year anniversary! The staff were very nice and informative, and the self guided tour was very interactive and high tech. The spirits tastings were delicious and I loved the free recipe cards!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
The Sazerac House is a must visit in New Orleans. It is an elegant and upscale tour of the distillery. Educational and the tasting of course if fun. Everything is done very well with great attention to detail and the employees are extremely hospitable, knowledgeable and fun! The gift shop is worth a visit itself. Highly recommend experiencing this while in New Orleans - especially for Bourbon lovers!!
After looking around for a distillery tour we came across The Sazerac House so today my wife and I went on a tour to the Sazerac House in downtown New Orleans. The company is well know around the world for it whiskey, bourbon, liqueur and other name brand items. My wife and I learn about how alcohol make and learn how to make mix drinks. It's self guided tour you learn the history of the Sazerac House and family still continue making type of spirits and also family own.
