Fantastic! The best Museum in town! Even if you weren't exposed to music growing up, you can see and hear the world right here. We support this place, heart , soul and $. Plus, they have the BEST dining in town. World class dishes to feature different musical exhibitions. Great chefs making outstanding dishes. Tour the museum, sign up to see a show, see touring artists, hear unusual instruments being played, play some instruments yourself... it's a wonderful time!

This is a great experience! The facilities are amazing, and there's plenty of parking. Honestly this is a must-to-see if you live in the Phoenix area, or if you come to visit the city. There are music instruments of every corner in the world, arranged by country. Besides it is multimedia interactive since since you walk around with headphones that catch the sound of every screen as you approach a particular exhibit. There is a special room with memorabilia of renowned musicians like Roy Orbison, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash and many other. At the end you can spend time playing different and rare instruments in a special room. Very much recommended!!!

Just one of the best museums and one of a kind. Very informative. Very innovative methods of information dispersion as everyone is given a headset to use. As one approaches exhibits these headsets connect to nearest TV to the displayed items where information is being broadcast. This is so cool! This keeps anyone engaged instantly and information with the combination of video audio makes the experience leaves lasting memory. As the multimedia information is updated frequently one cannot be bored going back to revisit the museum.

What a treasure this museum is. Highly recommend spending a whole day here and if possible two days. The afternoon is quieter when the student groups have left. Good cafeteria though a bit pricey. Nice outside seating area. We plan to return and spend more time on the second floor with exhibits of countries and instruments from there as well as short video clips.

When you see such a high average rating, you just have to know for yourself. I must say, this museum deserves nothing less than a 5. The place doesn't seem enormous, but is packed. Another reviewer stated it takes 4hrs to properly visit. They're spot on, if not even a little short. Your best bet is to make multiple trips - you're going to feel rushed. With the included audio tour, you're going to want to listen to every country, artist, instrument you see. If time is a factor, find what you'll enjoy most first. Don't underestimate your visit. We started upstairs, where you travel across the world. This is 75%+ of the exhibits. In hindsight, I wish I started downstairs - at least where they feature specific artists. Then I would have gone through the individual countries/states back upstairs. Lastly, check out the hands-on instrument room, back downstairs. This isn't a huge space, but has many pieces you wouldn't originally play. As I said, this would have been my perfect guide, had I known. At 3hrs, I felt insanely rushed. I feel obligated to pass this information on. Even if you get through it all, try to revisit in the future. The exhibits are always changing and it's easily worth the $20.
