I contacted MySpace desperately, three days before my previous lease was up and every other option fell through. My agent helpfully found me exactly what I wanted: a room in a 3 bedroom where they matched me with two roommates, and no broker's fee to boot. After a month, however,  I began to realize what kind of situation I was in. The roommates routinely drank all my beer, left the front door unlocked and even ajar, and even left the oven on occasionally. Worst of all, I started getting e-mails from the management that the roommates had not paid a dime in rent since we moved in, and we were facing eviction. And yes, I brought up all of these issues with them, to no avail. It's 6 months into the lease now, and they still haven't paid a dime. Although MySpace isn't to blame, I can't in good conscience recommend moving in with strangers, stick with people who you know.

I won't thank you to Subrina and Jessica there are such a great agents and so professional  I will recommend to everybody who's looking for apartment it's a better place to go too.

In July I put down a deposit with MySpace to take an apartment off the market. The agent was nice but very pushy on me leaving a deposit.The deposit was one Months rent. I also had to pay a 200 application fee since I was using a guarantor. All together the deposit came out to 2100. My moving date wasn't until OCtober 7th which would be 2 months away. I was told I would be able to get my money back as long as it wasn't after the lease signing and meeting with the landlord.She also stated the only thing I wouldn't be refunded is the 200 dollar application fee. After I was approved for the apartment I let the agent know I wasn't really sold on the apartment and asked if I could look at some other apartments under MySpace before meeting with the landlord. She wouldn't agree to letting basically see the other apartments. She just down played the apartments Telling me the locations where bad, apartments were small, not renovated anything to change my mind. I contacted the manager letting her know I didn't want the apartment I felt it was way too small for my liking. She emailed me back and said " no problem . Good luck with your search your deposit cannot be refunded. 2100 lost !!!what makes it worse there was no type of empathy or remorse. These are people's lives you are dealing with. Definitely stay away!!!

Overall, my experience with my agent was amazing and I don't have a single complaint about her. However, after moving in we found out that the apartment not only had super unresponsive landlords unwilling to make repairs (including exposed wires, a leak, broken heating/AC -- all in a brand new renovated apartment) but that the landlords had illegally hooked up our gas line. National Grid shut off the gas for safety, telling us the building was at risk of exploding, and the landlords refused to acknowledge they had done anything wrong. Ultimately we ended up moving out after only a month in the apartment. I believe MySpace NYC bears at least some responsibility to check the safety/livability/legality of apartments that they are renting. Be very cautious and do extensive research before renting from them -- because MySpace NYC certainly will not.

Unprofessional and disorganized.  My agent (Bonnie) didn't show up to anything on time and never followed through on her promises.  I got the apartment but only because NY rental market is so crazy.  This place would be out of business in any other city.
