Story

We pride ourselves in using all fresh ingredients - all of our entrees are made from scratch. All of our sauces, dressings & soups are home made. We provide a friendly atmosphere & our waitstaff is eager to please. We have 3 banquet rooms to for birthdays, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, or holiday parties, we serve breakfast, lunch & dinner. We were voted "Best of Chico", Champagne Brunch! After 10 minutes had to ask for server to take order. Restaurant was half full. Server was unable to construct an Arnold Palmer correctly. Wait staff was absent, my wife got up and served/refilled our table water. Second round for drinks (which we had to get up and ask for), I explained to interrupting server how to construct Arnold Palmer. Despite this drink arrived wrong. I questioned her, she interrupted me by saying "I'm new" and walked off as i explained the simple procedure to construct an Arnold Palmer. Table next to us was complaining of 45min wait for food. Request to speak to a manager was ignored. Response from staff "we only have one server, everyone is out sick" as four servers (unknown to them that they are servers in the absence of others) walked about... food was good, kitchen did their part. Check never arrived. Eventually we up to the podium. Our server came up and asked "have you been helped?" Comically, I replied you just served us and we need to pay the bill... she walked off without a reply or notifying anyone... wait staff was absent from floor, huddled/hiding in the kitchen. Every table needed service. Poor people next to our table still hadn't been served, now an hour later. Obviously, no manager was present. Sorry to hear staff is sick. Someone needed to take charge...

One of our favorite places to eat. When my mother in law was still with us, we used to take her there once a month if not a couple times. She loved going there. Her and I always had the Champagne Brunch. In fact before my husband took me there (we were engaged then) I never went to a Champagne Brunch before. I enjoyed it very much. And its the only time I drink champagne. Other than the champagne, their food is out of this world. Yesterday I decided to have something different so I chose the Camper Special. OMG! It was yummy. Looks like I'll be ordering that again. If you go there, plan on maybe a 15 maybe 20 min wait to get a seat as it is a very popular place to go to. But well worth the wait.

When you advertise scrambles are served with you choice of hash browns, country potatoes topped with parmesan cheese & green onions, zucchini shreds or fresh fruit then that means exactly that. Any choice of Scrambles comes with one of those sides. Apparently, when you order the Camper Scramble you do not get a side even though it contradicts what scrambles come with. The server tells me it is because hash browns are in the scramble so I only get toast. That makes absolutely no sense, the scramble is the scramble, and then you should get a choice of a side. If I want shredded zucchini, then that should have nothing to do with the type of scramble I choose. Sometimes a server will give you a side and sometimes they do not. So my wife called to try and figure out what possible angle they could be coming from. They only came up with that they see my point but the Camper Scrambler only comes with toast or petite cakes. Maybe you will not get zucchini as a side when you order the veggie scramble because that scramble has zucchini in it, who knows. I gave them a chance to make it right, now I am writing this review. I attached a copy of their menu which I am sure will make perfect sense to everyone else. Prices are too high, not much for under ten dollars.

I go to Nash's for lunch every month for a group meeting that I'm a part of. The menu has a decent selection of sandwiches and salads and some other specials and the food is always quite satisfactory. I wouldn't call it great but it's all tasty and not a bad choice for lunch. Our group splits the check and it always turns out to be $17 per person including the tip.

Love their shredded zucchini. A very tasty alternative to the potatoes. Service is always friendly and the food is served hot. The portion size is big so come hungry or better yet prepared to share. This is a cozy relaxing environment with indoor and outdoor seating. For the evening crowd there is a quaint bar.
