Morning Thunder is proud to be a member of the Chico community! We serve breakfast and lunch 7 days a week until 2 p.m. and are well known for our portions and our menu which includes everything from hearty, to heart-healthy FRESH classic Americana! Morning Thunder is also proud to sponsor local artists displaying their works on our walls! There is never a fee, even when your art sells! Bring your own mug and leave it for when you return and we'll be glad to fill it with the best coffee in town! Morning Thunder Cafe in Chico, California has outstanding food and outstanding service at an outstanding price. For more than 20 years I've been eating their Bidwell Egg bagel breakfast, but I had a cheeseburger today and was blown away. It was great, and I love crinkle cut fries too. I also notice how everyone that works there works so well together, I sense some serious teamwork going on. I recommend Morning Thunder Cafe in Chico.

Service Was good, thoroughly enjoyed my food, love that there's gluten free options. Always busy so it is usually a wait to get in but my group didnt have to wait as long as I'd expected. Its busy for a reason though! So yummy.

A fantastic local diner. Fast service with large well cooked portions. All the food was hot and fresh. Their coffee also tasted like coffee should. My only complaint is a lack of a kids menu. It was expensive to peice together a meal and complicated to find something my smaller kids could eat. Not to mention kids do not need to eat a pancake the size of their head. Lol Hence why a kid menu with kid sized portions would be much better. SIDE NOTE: Come during the week or early morning to avoid the INSANE amount of people who try to pack in Fri-Sun.

Great prices and above average diner food. Very big portions; even big football players will struggle cleaning one plate. We loved the biscuits and gravy.

Best Breakfast in Butte County. Excellent service, cozy, clean, and very friendly!! I feel fortunate they are in my town! Love Love
