5-Star experience from Rebecca L. Tons of knowledge, patient and taught me a bunch without being to pushy. 

A few months back I stopped into National Camera Exchange looking for light boxes / lighting. I am a novice and needed a little insight on specs needed to have reasonable amount of success when uploading products online. She located what I needed, demonstrated ( even opening a package so I could try myself )  Great service and an asset to National Camera Exchange team. 

Not sure about pricing though,  I never ended up buying anything. Whatever you buy, be sure to shop around online to compare pricing.

I don't recommend this store if you're interested in video cameras. I called up with a specific need for a camera in mind. The sales rep said if I came in it would be a good time to experiment to see which camera met my needs because the store wasn't busy. I said "See you in 15 minutes" and drove straight over.  When I got there, the sales rep I had talked to was nowhere to be found and nobody knew where he'd gone. A different sales rep helped me, but admitted he didn't know much about video cameras. I asked: Did any of the other reps know any more? Apparently not. So he fumbled around for about 10 minutes trying to help me. Then the rep I'd talked to on the phone finally showed up. He said to the rep helping me: "You know as much about video cameras as I do, so you might as well keep going." I said thanks and drove home.

The staff are fabulous, they know what they are talking about. They are also very informative and were willing to price match. The store was laid out cleanly and they had everything on display.

It is so wonderful to have a local, trusted camera store that is filled with great equipment and fantastic, knowledgeable staff.  I've been coming to the Golden Valley store for several years now and all of the staff are always incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and give you their complete attention, even when the store is a zoo (weekends are a bit crazy!).  I TRUST the advice and appreciate the candid conversations I've had in this store.  I've spent thousands with them, even though I could order off of Amazon or B+H or elsewhere, I am proud to spend my dollars with people I can talk to and trust to give me great advice.  I love to come in and tinker with new gear and always appreciate talking "shop" with the staff.  I also LOOOOOOVE that they offer rentals, and have utilized them from time to time.  I know that a local competitor also offers camera rentals, but they are not even remotely convenient for me, seeing as they are in NE Mpls and I live in the west metro.  Also, I love the 7 day a week hours AND rental options!  Can't beat the convenience.  Keep up the great work!
