Perhaps the restaurant has a very basic menu but the food taste really good and the service is great.

1. Dishonest - I was unable to leave a tip because I was not given a pen to do so; only to have the bartender give herself a tip at my expense (she gave herself 20%) 2. Called for a manager 3 times only to have to drive back to the restaurant after my calls were never returned 3. Was promised a full refunded only for it to be a month later with no refund in sight 4. Terrible service I visited National Pastime in early July after hearing how great the wings were. My party ordered two drinks and placed two separate orders for well done (crispy) wings and a side of fries. Upon receiving the first order we decided that they weren't done very well so we sent them back only to find that the second order was made the same way. Note: One order had a glazed flavoring. The kitchen put the same wings we sent back; back into the grease and then served them to us. The wings tasted like grease and the glaze was burned onto the wings (that's what happens when you place a glazed wing in a deep fryer). We had to explain the issue to the bartender who couldn't have cared less. The second order of wings had not come back out after an extended amount of time so we advised that we would pay for our drinks and fries and forgo the wings. We received the receipt and paid for our food at which point the merchant and duplicate copy was given to us but no pen. The bartender never returned so after another extended wait we left. A few days later a charge appeared from the restaurant but it was for 20% more than the check was for. We called 3-4 different times; was promised a call back from the manager (never happen). We had to drive back to the restaurant where we spoke to an apologetic manager who advised that the money would be refunded. She took our name and phone number however, it has been a month and I have not received a refund nor a phone call. This is not about the money this is about integrity. I do not and will not recommend this restaurant and will be sure to let others in the area know of my experience in addition to this review.

I was invited a birthday gathering on Saturday, May 13, 2017. My husband was here previous and thought the restaurant was horrible but thought he would try it again to give them the benefit of the doubt. Well, It took 45 minutes to get a cup of hot water with lemon, It took 2 hours to get entrees, the waitress did not introduce herself and was cold as ice, and the manager did not want to come out to address the concerns of a party of 15. I had to go inside to get my own lemonade and the cost for a soda, fish/chips and a hamburger was $47.53. Maryland tax and Gaylord tax This was not worth the food nor trip around the beltway from Elkridge, MD. I want to rate this place 1/2 start but the survey is too generous with the lowest rating of 1 star.

This place is great if you want to watch a game and grab a beer. That said how hard is it to put up a bunch of TV's and server beer. Very limited menu basic burger, fries and fried food. The food is very overpriced for the quality of food you get but what do you expect from a hotel bar at a major convention center. If you want a quick sit down meal inside the Gaylord this might be your best option. However, if you are willing to walk a block or two down the street you will find many better food options.
