Wow! I wish I knew about this over the past 15 years while I was stationed close by. This is a hidden gem. I randomly found this place on Google Maps and it is absolutely one of the best places I've ever taken my two sons. An entire Cottage that sleeps 4 people right near the water for $80 a night is something that you never see or hear of any more.

If you are looking for the rustic grandpa old type houses...stay in the cottages. They smell like old, have old fixtures and fans that hum, linoleum flooring for 2 decades ago...but hey, its $85/night.

Hot summer day, but it was nice on Lake Cheatham. Barely a half dozen people sharing the lake and boats. Great summer spot!

This is a military lodging location. Not everyone can stay here. Great value for what you get compared to off post. You cannot beat the area it is in, 15 minutes away from Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. It could be a bit cleaner, but they are old buildings (the ones we stayed in, there are new cabins). Added bonus, 202 A and B are definitely haunted.
