We stayed at this KOA in the winter, as it was close option for a bike race we were doing VERY nearby. The staff were awesome, and the facilities were top notch (very clean restrooms, modern amenities, etc.)! We were planning on camping in a tent and roughing it in 32 degree weather to save some cash, and they were kind enough to put us in a cabin since it was during a slow time of year. Our toughness factor went down a bit, but we really appreciated the heater and mattress! The were even very accommodating of us travelling with our pup, which is something any pet owner can appreciate. Can't speak to what this place is like during high season, but it suited our needs perfectly, and we truly appreciated their flexibility and thoughtfulness.

We stayed here 3 nights in August 2016, in a travel trailer. This was a great KOA. The site was clean and level. They weren't real busy when we were there, so space wasn't a problem, but I could see where some would feel cramped if the campground was full. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Staff was great! The camp has great things for kids to do including a nice sized pool, and "air pillows," which are sort of like trampolines. There's also a huge open field that was well kept (it was mowed while we were there, but looked good before mowing, as well). There were also quad-bikes for rent, and the kids got a kick out of that. We did not check out the evening activities, as we had engagements in Williamsburg to attend. One thing that is confusing is the naming of the campground. Online it shows up as "Williamsburg/Busch Gardens KOA" or similar. But, actually, it is two separate campgrounds (both very large) about a quarter-mile apart from one another. And, when looking from the driver's seat, neither is called "Busch Gardens." We stayed at Colonial, which is the first one you come to from the interstate. If we'd arrived late, and had been scheduled at the other one, further down the hill, we may not have known to go look for a second campground. It appeared to have a separate office, etc. (but they are run by the same owner). While probably not a problem often, something to know about. Overall, we loved our stay here--the weather was perfect.

NOT GOOD FOR TENT CAMPING. You cannot park your car at your site, so you have to lug your stuff to your site through other people's areas. Plus, there isn't enough room to park on the fence for all the spaces so you have to drive around to find an area squeezed off the road. The tent space as a whole is very communal, no set sites (just a stick marking your general area) and it's pretty much inclined downhill. The tent area is a spider paradise, they will cover everything you own, so if you're an arachnophobe beware. One water spigot in the middle of the ten area, and you have to walk through other people's sites to use it. Far from the bathhouses as well. friendly staff, clean bathrooms, close to many attractions.... but terrible for tent campers.

Great cabins for glamping. Very reasonable. Every amenity that you need. Full kitchen, comfortable beds and furniture, and cable TV.
