Gorgeous museum!!! They have wonderful collection, the grounds are beautiful and it borders Walnut Hill Park which easy designed by Olmstead who also designed Central Park in NYC. This is the oldest museum of American Art in the country. They have a hands on children's area and many activities for kids. The cafe offers delicious food, free refills on coffee, and friendly staff. There is a patio with tables outside the cafe where you can sit and enjoy the views of the beautiful park on nice days. Plenty of free parking. A wonderful place worth visiting! 🌞 Please Like is this was helpful, thanks!

This is both a great museum and a local gem. I've been coming here since grade school field trips and I regularly take my family. There's a few rooms of Hudson River School paintings that are simply lovely. The top floor changes from time to time but often has great modern art. The museum has a great collection and cycles it often enough to reward repeat visits. The people who work there are nice, and clearly like working in a cool museum. They also have a great education department and offer art classes. I've taken my kids and it's made for a great family experience. Go if you can; it's a wonderful place.

A wonderful museum that focuses exclusively on American Art of the 19th and 20th centuries. There are works by both famous and less well known artists in a spacious and modern building. It is adjacent to the Walnut Hill Park with views of the park from the museum. You leave with a great insight into American Art.

Great works of art, not too cluttered. Interesting bench or seating in every room (they're an understated character in this museum). Appreciate the BoA weekends.
