Horrible experience so far. Been insured through my work since October and I still have NOT received my insurance card!!!! I've called dozens of times to be assured they're going to send one and almost 5 months later I've gotten NOTHING! I'm pregnant and seeing different doctors all the time and the fact nobody can find my insurance is frustrating! Never ever getting my insurance through NMHC again! Stuck with this problem until next October, AFTER my baby is due. 😖

This company needs to be Federally investigated. Offering heath care coverage without ANY accepting providers and not disclosing the fact you have to travel to Albuquerque to find one. What to do in an emergent situation. Taking government subsidies....they should be accountable. Anyone know who I can contact in the Government to check this fraudulent company out????? Please post here. THANKS

NMHC changed our plan to True Health.  We never got our cards. No info. No return calls. Multiple numbers but no help. They did a terrible,  unplanned job. They would not add new employees. Terrible service but they took $1500 per month. Shameful.

The company "  NM Health Connections" does not care about the customers. Not one.)  we were sold a gold tier plan and the broker told us this is the only plan the providers in Farmington NM we accept, only to find no one not ONE provider will accept this insurance, that we hay1600.00 per month. When calling the office we were told so sorry thats the way it is and we have till March 1st to cancel.. People of Farmington BEWARE!!!!!!!! Pay monthly for nothing///// May God keep us healthy.

I have been insured with NMHC for three years and without exception have enjoyed great service, excellent communication, and competitive rates.  

As I read through many of the one-star reviews I am struck with how frequently people blame them for issues outside of their control such as the rising costs of prescription drugs and of health care in general (things no insurer has much control over), which fuel rising health insurance rates. 

I also get the impression that when people don't take the time to read and understand their policy (the deductible, the co-payment, the max. annual out-of-pocket, the additional cost for out-of-network providers, etc...), they blindly assume their policy will cover way more than it does, and then when it doesn't, they go online and write a nasty (and usually wildly inaccurate) review. 

Read and understand your policy. If you want more stuff to be covered, or the same stuff to be covered more fully,  buy a more comprehensive (and more expensive) policy.  Don't assume something is fully covered, and then when you find out it isn't, act like a butt-hurt crybaby.
