You allegedly shared private Connecticut customer names, customer addresses, ship to addresses, item descriptions and quantities sold for multiple years.   You do not care about your shoppers privacy or case law from the supreme court.  Quill Corp. v. North Dakota, 504 U.S. 298 (1992),      Newegg and other companies gave up their customer records in response to letters that the state tax department sent last summer to about 150 online retailers that have significant sales to Connecticut residents. Retailers were given two options: Begin collecting sales tax from Connecticut customers going forward and send that money to the state, or turn over the records.

Kranz said he believes that companies did not have to comply with the state’s demands but that the letters have invited further discussion about the prickly question of trying to assess state sales tax on online purchases.

Worst customer service ever.  Their computer systems were hacked, I informed them of the incident, and some service rep who doesn't understand the slightest thing about IT security shut down my account.  I'm told I can open up a new NewEgg account with a different email address, and the existing account, even if the password is changed, is known to have some type of security vulnerability according to their representative.  This makes absolutely no sense, but the representative told me that I cannot be assisted any further.  Great job NewEgg, you've lost a longtime customer!

Try getting them to accept a return, I've bought 50+ products from them over the last few years, only 2 returns. But each return issue was a problem. They never respond to requests, and when they receive return they create even more issues by not refunding for sometimes weeks. Very annoying.

Customer service you wait between 1hour to 2 hour to speaks with customer service, I have an order that should be delivered a week ago, they did not inform me about not being ship.
Contact them have a claim # and still wait after three days from claim.
It was the best price what I was planning to order but the shipping is not working .

I had received $75 in gift cards for xmas & used them to purchase items to build a computer via several separate orders. One order had 3 items. I used the $75 in gift cards and then paid for the remaining $190 on a credit card. I had to return one of the items and had already purchased the replacement, so requested a refund to my credit card. Newegg refused to refund me the amount to my credit card, insisting that they refund it in the form of gift cards. I have already purchased all the items I need to build the PC, so I repeatedly asked for my money back on my credit card. The supervisor insists that this is their policy, which is RIDICULOUS!!! They have issued the gift cards back to me via email. They are forcing me to buy something else from them when I do not need anything. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STORE POLICY I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. AFTER I USE THE GIFT CARDS FOR SOMETHING I REALLY DON'T NEED, I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE I KNOW.
