Story

Nic Romanoli is a man with a brilliant philosophy and a tremendously successful career as a photographer, hairdresser, and entrepreneur. He owns Nico Spalon in Morgantown, WV and has spent a lifetime working with the most talented people in the beauty industry. He is a master of his trade in both cosmetology and photography. His mind houses a university of experience and knowledge of the industry. He is respected as a 'life coach' for those inspiring to succeed as models, photographers, makeup artists, colorists and hairdressers, or any other interest in the art and beauty culture.

Nic studied with Vidal Sasoon in Chicago and London and attended West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. When he finished at WVU, he moved to Europe with a good friend who became Miss Sweden; this exposed him to several professionals in the fashion industry. He then moved to Paris, France where he became a fashion photography hairdresser. He has worked with internationally known designers including Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, and Adolfo.

Mission

At Nico Spalon, we have combined Romanoli's love for beauty and art. Our upscale salon/spa features an art gallery, photo studio, and advanced academy. Our art gallery showcases some of Romanoli's photography, along with other various artists, throughout the entire spa. Nico Academy, the first state-approved provider for Continuing Education classes, offers CE courses for barbers and cosmetologists in West Virginia.

Our entire staff is composed of masters of the trade, including Rick Stache, Artistic Director and West Virginia Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists Member, Treva Gales, Marsha Clark, Anthony Butler, Audra Mayhew, Rachel Harman, Whitney Cayton, Seth Gartin, Jessica Walker, Sharon Mentus, Zachary Henigin, and Ashley Cage - all of whom were chosen by Nic himself. By providing cutting edge style, technology, and service, our staff is committed to making each client feel confident and comfortable.
