We've been sitting here for 15 minutes and love it already. It smells like authentic Chinese cuisine, there's no one else here so it's very roomy and the people here are great! I've only seen one guy but I can hear so many little voices they are obviously loving the place too. There's new tiles and cute Chinese decorations around the room. The beverage refrigerator is stocked with unique drinks and the chairs are so comfy! Love it. 5 stars. Definitly No. 1

I ordered food from #1 at least once a month the steamed dumplings are the best in town.. a few days ago I ordered and the driver took my food to the wrong house when he gave me my order it was cold won't order from them any time soon...

I came to this site to see if their customer service has gotten any better. I haven't been to this place since the former owners sold it. I tried to place an order about 5 years ago and the female that answered the phone was a rude little witch so I canceled the order. I don't spend my money in businesses that disrespect me.

We just bought a house in Penn Hills and we've been looking for a Chinese place in the area. A co-worker raved about szechuan palace in the Penn Hills Plaza. We went there a couple times for take out. The staff was very friendly and the food was good but nothing to write home about. Tonight we decided to try No. 1 Chinese Kitchen and I am so glad we did! The man on the phone was courteous and the woman who was at the front counter was so busy but was so generous to ask me if I wanted a free bag of crab rangoons  (Um, YES PLEASE :D ) I had to wait a couple minutes but who cares? Free fresh crab rangoons! When I got home we were so pleased with how delicious everything was. The chicken was moist and well seasoned, the shrimp wasn't fishy like some other places and the sauces were thick and flavorful but best of all were the crispy super stuffed crab rangoons! We ate then ALL! Thank you No. 1 Chinese Kitchen for a great dinner. You've successfully won our business!

I love their food! Always tastes as good as the last time. I don't like any other Chinese food place in Pittsburgh. Love it!!!
