If you are AFRICAN AMERICAN, don't browse here.  It makes them nervous.  Even if you buy something loss prevention will stop you at the door, ask you about your nice bag, and someone will stand by the door to stop you so you can't try to run out.... even if you are paying at the cash register and spent 2 hours buying things at this store you still aren't welcome to browse here.  If you are a Black person, just buy what you need then leave.  You are not welcome at this location.  Go to Fashion Valley.  And can you believe a day before this happened one of the Nordstrom's was there visiting?  I wonder if he taught his staff to view paying black customers suspiciously.

Did I mention this is the SECOND time I was treated this way at this location?

My wife and I shopped here last Sunday.The new 2 level store looks astounding and we found exactly what we were looking for thanks to Jessica.Parking was a cinch on the open air 5th level and we just walked straight out from the 2nd floor to our car after enjoying a superb late lunch at Bazille.

My wife and I shopped at this amazing store full of beautiful things last Sunday.Bianca who is one of the managers escorted us over to the area where my wife could look for a new bathrobe.With the honest advice of talented Nordstrom staffer Jessica my wife purchased a luxurious Natori plush bathrobe in blue.They shipped the right size for free to our house 2 days later.We then had a couple of nice lattes at the Ebar downstairs before going for a wander along the mall to check out the other new shops. About an hour later we came back to have a late lunch at Bazille the lovely cafe on the 2nd level.Our meals were fabulous!

Favorite mall in San Diego! They are doing a lot of new exciting things.  I've been coming here for years and it's about to look the best it ever has!

The new renovation of the mall is very nice, however, it could use more legends as the parking is underground and there are signs pointing in general directions toward stores. However, once you arrive at the stairs/elevators, it is unclear what stores you will arrive at in certain areas. Also, part of the mall is very nicely renovated while the other half is still quite old. It does not match and it leaves you wondering when the rest of the mall will experience the same amount of attention.
