This place sucks! Made reservations for 1 night was told my reservation was declined as they had a 2 night minimum. They then told us that they would reserve a double room for us for 1 night. Then we received an email stating our credit card was declined which there is no way it would be and that we no longer had our reservation. After all this we decided that we would just plan for a different time. Well we get our credit card statement in and guess what Normans Motel charged us. So much for the card being declined. Now they refuse to refund us ...when you call nobody answers.

This place was not what is advertised.  The pool is tiny, and I swear like two feet deep.  Never saw the jacuzzi, or the game room, or a snack shack.  The parking was terrible, due to the fact the back parking lot was filled with junk, and metal siding.  Now onto the room.  One of the beds in the room had yellow stains all over the sheets, and pillow case.   The mini fridge was cracked, and broken.  And the know to turn the fridge up was completely broken off, and not there.  The toilet backed up the entire time we were there, and the man hole in the parking lot was overfilling.  We had heard it was the sewage that was leaking out.   Our lights all flickered all night.   The tv never worked the entire time.   Worst experience ever.  And they have no shampoo or anything in the bathrooms.  Like three bars of soap that's it.  Terrrible hotel, and all the guests around us were complaining.  Spend the extra money, and stay somewhere else.

Staff was great. Convenient location to beach and Funtown Splashtown. It's a cute little retro hotel, with a laid back atmosphere. I do wish they offered coffee pots in the rooms. Thanks for having us. :)

Norman's was exactly the disaster discribed. Thank God I wasn't alone when I stayed here. The place was dirty as expected, carpets clearly not vacuumed, stained and discolored.  There were other things about the room that were generally unclean. The 70's decor was not too bad in my opinion. Although the TV was fuzzy, it worked properly otherwise. The bed was uncomfortable and worn out just like the towels, sheets and blankets. I will say the microwave and mini fridge worked properly along with the shower, toilet, and sink... but the shower pressure hit our skin painfully with freezing cold or sweltering heat - no in between. The jacuzzi room and the jacuzzi itself were gross, and the pool was shallow. We never saw the supposed "arcade". The "backyard" was dry grass and what seemed like construction materials lying around. There was a grill and a picnic table, but we saw no one use either. The walk to the beach was about half an hour, which we didn't mind. There was no Wi-Fi that we could connect to. The other guests made us uncomfortable, but the staff was generally friendly and helpful. Although the guests and staff both looked a bit scary. There were a few things that I experienced while staying here that make me advise others not to bring their children here. More specifically, I would suggest only coming to Norman's as a last resort but make sure you come with proper protection for yourself and whoever you are with. There are many reasons why Norman's has the worst reviews of the OOB hotels and motels on every website. I gave one star as this motel could have been worse, but not by much. Awful and scary experience for myself and many others.

I was afraid for my kids safety at this motel. It was very dated and it smelled like feces. The people staying there were very unpleasant and the front desk was no help. People were banging on my door in the middle of the night. The television was glitching and my kids were scared. When they went in the pool they were harassed by an elderly woman who claims to live there. She took pictures of my licence plate when we were driving home and followed us into a restaurant. At night time we were walking back to the grass area which was not grassy and people were opening their blinds to look at my kids in their bathing suits. The front desk was very horrible and were never present. I beleive you should NEVER STAY HERE!!!
