Don't stay here. Ugh. The owner refused to give us our security deposit back because it wasn't clean enough when we left and there was dog hair everywhere. When I reminded him that we paid a dog fee and there was no vacuum provided he replied (copy and pasted) And btw both I and Merymaids thought you lived in embarrassing squalor and filth way beneath the standards of our usual 5 star guests, but I guess that's to be expected from the ridiculous, erroneously, grossly self- entitled, narcissistic, petulant, millennial, filthy, little snots that hail from Craigslist's. And that's my professional medical doctor's diagnosis of you two! Excuse me? Is that how you really speak to your guests? We stayed for three weeks while looking for an apartment. I'm an elementary school teacher and my husband is a financial analyst. I find it insulting yet hilarious. We stayed in late November and it was very cold. We had the coffee maker on at the same time as a space heater and the fuse went out. We tried the circuit breaker and it didn't work so we called Mike. He couldn't fix it either so the next day he had an electrician come. He then blamed his old faulty wires on us and threaten to send us the bill, though he couldn't fix it himself. Here is that lovely message: you two were the ones who interfered and poo poo'ed my swift attention to have a professional electrician tend to a simple circuit breaker switch flip that anyone should have been able to figure out but because of your ignorance and ineptitude as mature adults that professional and mandatory ( for your safety and wellbeing) cost me $118 . So I should be sending you a supplemental bill as we speak. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. Seems like he uses the security deposit refund trick on many people. Enjoy your OOB vacation you filthy little snots.

This was a great find for anyone looking to move to Maine during the months of winter. All the utilities are included, and it seemed like a steal. My husband and I moved there hoping to be there until May, but his team ended up putting us up in a place closer to both of our jobs, and a real apartment. Unfortunately, we had to leave LGC early, and break our contract. We did not put this in writing as requested by the lease two weeks in advance. When discussing our moving with the owners, we expected that because we discussed the moving a couple weeks in advance and then texted about it that it would be fine. Especially because our rent was always on time and they had first, last month's rent, a security deposit for us and our dog, and we had paid for our time spent during the last week we were there. They had helped with internet issues we had in the past, and always seemed so friendly. When they denied our security deposit back after almost two months of asking for information about our $850 deposit, they responded with very ambiguous responses instead of just telling us that we had broken the lease. When telling them that in the future it may be helpful for both parties to just be upfront when someone breaks the contract (as many other tenants did while we were there) maybe they should discuss it in person or at length. Instead we received a very hateful message back that attacked myself and my husband as people. Please be warned if you are going to stay here to read the lease carefully. Hopefully you will not be called such hateful, untrue things as I was. Good luck!
