Cracked the auger pulley hub on my ariens SB, on the day Syracuse had the worst snow of the year.  Power house was the only place that had my part in stock, and I called everywhere.   The part was $10 cheaper also.  The owner was great and gave me all the info I needed to fix it.  He even looked at my 9 year old auger belts and told me they were perfect and didn't need to be replaced (would have cost me $50). Now that motor mender is out of business this will be my new go to place.

Over the summer I spent most of my time fixing up lawn mowers. That said I had to make many trips to north syracuse powerhouse. They almost always had the parts I needed and if they didn't have it in stock they would get it ordered and have it ready within just a fue business days. These guys are always willing to help. If I didn't know how to do something they would have no problem helping explain how to do it. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone.

The Best!

These guys are the Best!  Always excellent service, expert know-how, and just, all around, nice guys.  They've serviced my lawnmowers, and snowblower, and they always do a great job!

They repair all of my small engine equipment. Depending on the time of year, they can be a bit slow as they have a lot of work to do, and it's basically a 1 man shop. But I've always been very, very happy with the work and they do try to accommodate you. Of the local places that do small engine work, I like the quality of their work the best of them all.

I had to think about this review.  They typically seem to have the parts I need.  They are reasonably more friendly and professional than the guy working the counter over on Caughdenoy Rd.  The place is not the cleanest, and I would do something about that.  My biggest issue  with this place is their incessant price gauging.  They're not even remotely ashamed of themselves in this manner.  I've never bought a part there for any less than double what they get list price.  On top of that, they're shady about giving a receipt, so you can't buy it elsewhere and return it to them after you've done your repair.  Back to my original point; I will pay for fast and friendly, but this place could easily be worth no more than 2 stars.  I hate to come down on a locally owned small business, but when their prices are so far beyond reasonable, you can't say the big boxes are the only reason places like this fail.
