I recently moved to the area and one of my dogs had already been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her bladder.  She had since been favoring her back leg and would not walk on it.  I needed a vet to get to know her for emergencies so went to NE Vet as they are a 7 day service.  They were very kind and considerate of me and my dog, examined her leg and found a very aggressive form of cancer, prognosis 2-6 weeks with a lot of pain so we decided to put her to sleep.  The staff here were great, very sympathetic, patient, kind and loving to me, my husband and his very own baby dog who had always been attached strongly to him.  It was a devastating time for us, but they made it easier and we will always be grateful to them.  I have the sister dog left with us and will not hesitate to take her to NE Vet when attention is needed.

This is the best vet I have ever been to. They are very caring and great with my pets. They even call a few days after seeing them to check in and see how my pet is doing. I highly recommend them!

Received excellent care for our little dog.  Explained everything, gave options and prices so we could make an informed decision on treatment plan.  Was there for an emergent situation.  They stayed late with no complaints.  Very clean facility staffed with courteous, caring and professional staff.  Our first visit there-will go back for sure!

Sadly I do not recommend this vet at all. The reviews here are not what you will see online if you search by their name or you look on their FB page. I took a rabbit I found hurt on the side of the road to them. I was willing to pay to have it put to sleep if they thought it would not live. I had found 2 other vets that would be it to sleep for free but it would of been the next morning so because NEVH was open I took it there. I left with a $155 bill for a wild rabbit!!! At first they didn't tell me the price, after asking they said around $80. That was too high but I was willing. I was told with rabbit they had to put it under anesthesia to put it to sleep without pain. (I know have spoke to another vet and that is not true it could of been sedated with a shot and then put to sleep). So that was the reason for it being so high. Then upon leaving I was given a bill for $155. The rest of the bill was for the rabbit to be cremated. It was a wild rabbit I didn't need it cremated but they said it was required (also not true). It is very discouraging to be overcharged for something like this. While in their office they changed the price on another person too. Bad business for sure.

Had a wonderful experience. Friendly, helpful staff was very accommodating to my pet during a major storm/power outage. Couldn't be happier with the care and service we received.
