Just awesome. Has some nice trails. Pretty difficult in winter when there is a lot of snow but not so much in summer. Trails have healthy balance of ups and downs.

Huge park with many trails. Many entry points for the trails. Beautiful drive way to Park. Many water streams and viewing area on the trails. Check the trail maps before you head.

This park has one of the biggest concentrations of trails in NJ and if you google it will see several accounts of lost hikers needing police assistance. The NE section is the most difficult to navigate. If you park near the Highlands Natural Pool you'll instinctively walk up the hill and see "L" trail makers. There's no "L" trail on the map. It's baffling. We walked right by the green trail, which goes off to the left near the bottom of the hill. You'll find it... Eventually. It's better to park down by Otter Hole. The trails there are sparser and it's easier to get up to Wyanoke Point and the lookouts. Just leave plenty of time to get lost or off-track. You will. I promise.

A great place to hike, lots of trails and trail heads, maps are recommended as trails intersect and signed are not always obvious.
