Terrace pond.... if you plan on taking the 2 mile hike to the cliff jump. DO NOT wear sandals ... so do ur research before going.. know that u will be climbing up crazy hard rocks then back down them a lot of times ...be prepared to get 100% dirty... however the views are incredible and the dive is awesome

Great beach for families, and just outstanding hiking trails in every season (although we tend to avoid the swampier ones in the summer). We usually use the "back" entrance, where parking and admission are free on weekdays. Trails are very well marked, and range from simple walks to pretty strenuous hikes. Boating rentals are very nice as well. Lots of BBQ pits available, as are overnight camp sites.

This is a great place for a good hike. There are multiple trails there with varying levels of difficulty and length. We wanted a relatively easy trail since we had a 10 year old and this was a perfect place to experience the Appalachian trail for a relatively easy 1.5 to 2 mile stretch followed by more paved trails leading to a small lake/picnic area. The entire round trip was about 5 miles which was ideal for us.
