This store is a embarrassment to the Ace Hardware name. The prices are a bit higher which wouldn't be a big deal if the customer service was good. There isn't any customer service, heck there's barely a staff. The first time I was there I thought it was just an issue of being short staffed, I've been there two more times within the last month and each time is worse than the one before. On every visit there was more customers than the few employees working could ever help. The last time I was there I waited 10 minutes for someone to help me before I decided it wasn't worth it and left. If you know exactly what you need than maybe this store will work for you but if you need assistance, do yourself a favor and go somewhere where you can actually get some help!

Nutter Ace Hardware is my favorite hardware store. Immediately after I had moved from "the family home" to an apartment near the Kingsdale Shopping Center, I would be at Nutter Ace Hardware, every few days, buying things that I had suddenly needed for the first time in my life. The staff at Nutter Ace Hardware is always helpful and is happy to answer questions [even about things that I am not necessarily planning to buy that day]. And there are always free bags of recently-popped popcorn available near the entrance.

Great, friendly, helpful staff. Smaller and more personal than your typical hardware store, but big enough to have excellent selection. Wonderful asset to the community!

Yesterday I visited Nutter Hardware with a rather unique request. I was in the process of moving my late mother's furniture to a resale shop and we could not get one bolt removed to take apart the bed frame. The mover and I had already spent a couple of hours trying to take it apart and finally we somehow got it into my van and drove to Nutter. Several employees gave it a shot with the same results. By this time I was getting a bit emotional and along came Mr. Nutter - he told his employees he would get it done. He tried several different things and finally success. What I most appreciated besides the obvious is that he personally got involved, understood the sensitivity and took care of his customer. I'm now a Nutter Hardware customer for life. Thank you!
