You really get what you put in. If you were looking for an inn with holograms or a modern look this is definitely not the place for you. But if you're a sensible human being who doesn't have a whole lot of dough in their bread basket (wallet) then this place will hold you over. Some downsides: it's kind of past it's prime, it's a bummer they don't have continental breakfast, there's a light old smell that can be remedied with a little cologne/perfume. Would recommend if you're just staying the night.

Not bad for the Groupon price with a 2 night stay. It's not on the beach but across the street from it and you have to use the public access to get to the beach. The rooms smelt stale and like cheap cleaner. And we had to open the doors to air out the room. The beds are springy, hard, painful & NOT at all comfortable!! The cleaning left something to be desired as I found popcorn in my couch and the bathroom mirror was filmy, the dishes were gross and I didn't appreciate a 1/4 mini bottle of dish soap. My room didn't have a knife rack but my neighbors smaller room did, but we had a strainer so luckily we had everything we needed to feed the 7 of us. The parking was frustrating as it was busy. The whole place could use some updating. The staff was friendly though.

I have never been so disappointed in all my adult life about a hotel room. This was not the cheapest room in town, we actually paid extra to have a king size bed with a kitchenette. The room smelled clean, if you count the smell of bleach being clean. The bleach smell was so strong we had to open every window to air it out. We even purchased some high end candles to hopefully over power the smell of bleach. The floor was hardwood lamminit and there were not any carpets in this room. So much for barefoot for this kid. The tile floor in the entryway was so beat up, without the overhead lights on it looked filthy. There was what looked like Black mold around the doorway and windows. The bathroom door would not open all the way up, due to hitting The toilet. The hot water was so inconsistent, anything longer than a 2 minute shower you either froze your skin or it would get so hot you would burn yourself. I could keep going on and on about this place, but all that would really do is make me look bad. I was very, no, extremely disappointed with the room we stayed in. Luckily we had options for things to do besides stay in our room. We did not even use the kitchenette. Well, live and learn. The place across the street was $25 a night cheaper, had an ocean view, but didn't have a king room available. I spoke to a couple others that were staying at this place and they had similar experiences. I have it a 1 star because zero stars was not an option. We did see some deer in the parking lot. That was cool.

It wasn't bad for the price. The bed sheets were semi-clean(they were stained). The heat worked nicely, had a microwave, sink and fridge. The ceiling tiles were also stained and there were visible dead bugs in the lights on the ceiling. Also the toilet was not bolted to the ground all the way so it would move. The staff was nice enough and treated us good. The indoor pool was run down we had to shower immediately because we were starting to break out in a rash. However if you're planing on being out all day on the beach or doing any other activities all day it's not a bad place to rest your head.

If it were possible to rate this “hotel” any lower I would have. By far the worst lodging I’ve ever experience (this includes the period I was deployed to the Middle East). We chose this location for the price and because of its pet friendliness. The pictures shown online are in no way similar to our room. From what we could guess, our room was a poorly converted car garage from when the hotel was an apartment or condo. Some of the highlights at this hotel: 1. The individual at the front desk told us “good luck finding parking” when my wife asked. No explanation or apology was given. 2. Our room had blinds that were broken and able to be seen through from outside. No drapes. 3. The tile making the room pet friendly was comprised of 3 different styles and sizes. You could literally trip as a 4x4 foot section of tile located in the center of the room was half an inch raised from the surrounding floor. 4. Bed had sheets but now blankets. 5. The wall had an eight inch gash in it. 6. Drop down ceiling with fluorescent lighting, the kind typically found in an office building. The lights were so bright it was almost uncomfortable. 7. The bathroom had mold on the base trim. 8. The two pieces of furniture were rickety and wobbly. 9. There was a slight smell of urine lingering by/in the closet. My dog would not go in the room willlingly. My wife and I ended up getting a room across the street in a much nicer (but more costly) room. Would totally recommend that hotel in general. The Oceans Shores Inn and Suite however, I would not recommend to my worst enemy.
