Let me show you what an egotistical florist looks like. I was referred to Oceanside Florist by the local mortuary that uses them. I spent some time speaking with Peggy in an attempt to coordinate flowers for the funeral of my best friend's mother. I decided it would be best to send a personal bouquet to my friend instead. Because Peggy followed up with me several times, I decided to purchase flowers from them without shopping for any other florists. This is not my norm. Anytime I send flowers, I always look for the best designers in the town. I sent a photo to Peggy, and she said they could accommodate me. I warned her that I am very particular about flowers and that I wanted the flowers to look like the photo or better. Peggy emailed me and told that Mary would be in on Saturday and that she knows all about my order. When I call Mary, I repeat the same thing to her, but go into more detail. I want the same flowers that shown in the photos. And if anything is added, I would prefer hydrangeas or peonies. Mary never said one word about not having the flowers that were shown in the photo. I made it clear to her that I wasn't in a rush, and that if she didn't have the flowers, she could get them at the floral mart as I want her to take her time on it. I asked her how much it would cost, and indicated that cost was NOT a factor. Additionally, I asked for a photo of the flowers before anything is delivered I informed her that I would be sending a special handwritten card via express mail as I wanted it included in the delivery. Around 2 hours after sending the card, I get a text of the arrangement. It was so far off that it was totally unacceptable. She had the audacity to put CARNATIONS in an upscale floral arrangement. I inform her of this via text, and I point out areas that I believe are wrong. At the end of my text, I inform her that if she follows the photo, she can't go wrong. In less than 30 minutes, I get another text saying that she talked to her manager, and they are refunding my money. They can't do it. When I call them, I speak to another woman who goes on about how they have been in business over 60 years, and that all of them are award winning designers. Okay, great. I ask, "Can you have another award-winning designer make the arrangement?" I have already spent money to send a handmade card to them. Undeterred, she continues to defend their designer. She informs me that their "award-winning" designers do not copy photos, but instead, they use their design skills to create unique variations. She spent time defending the designer and saying things that were simply not true. I asked her what their "award-winning" designer does when it comes to wedding flowers. The arrangement I asked for was a table design for a wedding. I asked if when a bride comes in with photos, do they look at the photo and provide the designs she asks for, or do they just do what they want. Of course not. So if you have the ability to deliver flowers exactly how the bride wants, then why can't you design what I want? No answer for that. Oceanside Florist's refused to fix the problem, and my handmade card is floating in the postal system as they refused delivery. It was was a big fat F-bomb. F-bomb your friend, your card, and the flowers you wanted to send because you have insulted our "award-winning" designer. "By golly, our ego is way more important than providing excellent customer service. And on top of this, it doesn't matter how much you pay us. You don't have the right to ask for what you want, even if you are paying for it." Because they gave me the finger, I'm giving them one by showing the photo of the design they did next to the one I requested. You be the judge.

Night before valentines, called two hours after they closed and they still had a dozen roses and sold em to me after I called. Place is awesome and they've always been good to me.

Ordered flowers to be delivered to my grandsons gravesite, and it appears they were never delivered. Initially i asked if they would send me a pic via cell phone or e-mail confirming my purchase, but they don't offer those services (I should have tried another location that does). Anyway, at 4pm the day the flowers were to be delivered, nothing was there. I called to inquire and was told the flowers were delivered and there was nothing they could do (more like nothing they wanted to do). You've been warned!
