Story

OLD MILL BBQ AND BURRITOS in Pecos, TX opened its doors in 1947. Our owner’s grandfather, Amador Gochicoa, started the restaurant with his goal of offering delicious American, Mexican, BBQ and Italian food to patrons. His son-in-law, Sebero Sr., took over the business in the 70s. After he retired, his son, Sebero Jaquez, Jr., took over the business in 1992 and then brought his son, Sebero Jaquez, III, after graduating culinary school.

Sebero Jaquez, Jr., has been operating the family owned business with his son Sebero Jaquez III. Culinary expertise and business acumen have made Old Mill BBQ & Burritos one of the most preferred restaurants in the area. He has been operating the family owned and run business since then

Our chefs prepare our food with passion to give you an amazing feast that you’ll remember for a long time. If you need catering for your wedding or a special event, we can help. We will serve dishes that all of your guests will absolutely love.

I ordered the seasoned curly fries and the 1 pound burger (two half pound patties). The fries were great. Then I took a bite into the burger and it was room temperature. Not even slightly warm. It was almost like the patties were precooked and they just had them sitting waiting for someone to order a burger. It's a shame too because I'll bet the burger would have been pretty good of fresh off the grill. Probably won't come back again. I can at least get a hot burger at Dairy Queen.

I am from out of town here on work, I've been to a few restaurants while on this trip and we're pretty upset of the experience with the price. My hotel manager recommended Old Mill to me and I said why not. Walk in and the environment is full of life and just enjoyable. The food was fantastic and promptly brought out, service was a ten for sure. Lastly there were a few elderly couples in tonight and I saw the employees go above and beyond to help them out of their seats and with everything they needed. Very impressed and recommend this restaurant to anyone curious!!!!

Food was good not great. Salsa has a different flavor but was good. Onion rings were very good...fresh and crisp witj extra batter. Service was slow and other than waitress; the rest of staff basically ignore you.

The restaurant is an odd mix of BBQ and Mexican food. However, it's obvious it has been around awhile and it's the place the locals go to eat. We were seated promptly, drink orders taken by the hostess and chips and salsa were delivered to the table immediately. The waiter was very personable and attentive. The food portions looked big, so we opted to share a chicken quesadilla, which was large and very tasty. At the end of our meal, the waiter offered to send to-go drinks with us, which was great! The price was also good! I would definitely recommend it.

The restaurant was busy. Service was great and it did not take long before we were served. I would recommend.
