Jamie and Katie Foy met and fell in love with each other and the food business with hopes to one day have their own establishment. In time, that will be how the story goes; however, having three beautiful kids put the dream on hold for a bit, but now Aedan, Lukas, and Emma are little older the couple knew it was time to take that leap of faith. On October 13, 2017, new owners, Jamie and Katie, took over the establishment of One Federal as part of their dreams and aspirations at The Old Foundry at One Federal. With the help of Dick Sweeney founder of Keurig Coffee, Jamie and Katie were on their way. Jamie found his 2nd love in creating food that pleases all, but that comes after his love for his wife and children. Jamie’s training in culinary and business, as well as his extensive experience in the industry, he has all the tools for success. Experimenting with local ingredients and creating teams are his passions and zest for life, look for those experiments on the specials menu. Matched by Katie’s front of the house experience and serving craft cocktails and wine, as well as her desire to make each guest feel like part of the family, the two are unstoppable.
They hope you experience the love and dedication they put into every aspect of the business. Katie and Jamie want every customer and employee to feel they are a part of the dream. This dream they have shared, worked so hard for, and is coming true, and will continue to share for years to come.

But… we cannot fail to mention the history of this building and this community. Read on for more:
The Old Foundry at Federal is loaded with a rich history in St. Albans. The building came to life in 1840 as the St. Albans Foundry and Implement Co. The bustling factory employed 60 workers to create the various pieces of machinery including farm equipment, saws, sinks, boiler stoves, and more.
In the late 1800’s St. Albans was a very busy and bustling rail community, and having the St. Albans Foundry at its prime location made it easy to load the goods on the many trains transporting goods and materials throughout the country, and to our northern neighbors in Canada.
Over the years the location has been home to different buildings and businesses, and many residents in the recent past will recall fine dining restaurants, and an ice cream shop to mention a couple. Tell us your stories and memories in this building. We’d love to hear.
So, come, sit back and relax, enjoy your experience at The Old Foundry at Federal.
