Best Sushi that I've had in the Detroit area! 
This place has been my secret gem for 10 years. 
Now it's getting crowded (4 stars for that reason and I've had better Sushi but in a different State).
Tips: This place is a first come first seat and serve type place.
Get a paper check sheet and red pen by the left side of the bar, fill it out and hand it over the counter to one of the Sushi Chefs.  
Also you pay for the meal at the register through the check out line. 
Lastly the Cooks (just the nicest people) work so hard without many breaks, PLEASE TIP THEM!

Note: As of December 2017 the restaurant in the back has only been open 11-2, Bummer. Not sure if this has changed since.

3/2/18 Update: The restaurant is open until 6 pm now. BUT 
So many people now order carry out (over the phone) if you sit down at the restaurant you are in line with the people who called their orders in.  We sat down and were there waiting for our food for 1 3/4 hours. 
This will be the last time I sit and eat there (0 stars for bad management). 
I still give them 4 stars because of all those 10 years that this restaurant was an amazing gem!
But now they need to manage the restaurant better. Maybe have 1 designated chef making restaurant patrons their food.

I love this place. You'll never see a family go crazy over food like we do. We don't get to go there to often. It is a little pricier but so worth it. We always make sure to get some sushi and they have the coffee in a can HOT!!! They have some great stuff that you can't get anywhere else. Their fish is fresh and it doesn't have that over powering smell when you go in that area. The vegetables are fresh and look like it was just picked and cleaned. It's a place you must visit if you like Asian food.

Authentic, fresh, great quality... and cheap! The sushi “restaurant” is a small nook hidden at the back of the store, but is almost always packed, which is a good sign! They don’t skimp on quality and have delicious rolls, along with a self-serve miso soup station for carry out. It’s not the most glamorous joint, but great for popping in and out of or take-out. Their poke bowls are my go-to, and I can always count on consistency.

Great selection of sushi grade seafood and Japanese groceries. The sushi bar is the main reason I usually stop in. They make incredible tasting sushi and it's pretty cheap - the lowest prices I can think of, actually. I've been coming here for 7 years, and several of the sushi chefs have been here the whole time, so they have a solid crew that has been making sushi for a long while. Their hours change sometimes, so it's worth calling ahead to make sure the sushi bar is open.

Lots of mostly imported Japanese food and a smattering of other ethnic stuff. Also huge selection of fresh fish. Delicious, fairly priced sushi. One concern is the word etc. at the end of all of the sushi ingredients. I didn't have time to ask but what all could be covered by the term etc.? Nice cashier.
