I recently applied with a business partner for joint-credit in the amount of $4000 with OneMain Financial and was "conditionally approved" for $6200. In the coming days, I spoke with Brigette, who notified me that one of the conditions needed was a vehicle title to be used as collateral. A bit odd considering our combined incomes, but nonetheless we were prepared to oblige. Shortly after I was told by another associate, Omar, during a follow-up call that they were unable to complete the application due to missing information (vehicle title) and that the entire offer had expired, but they may be able to re-open the application. This was contrary to what Brigette has told us. He also mentioned that co-applicants must share the same residence. This requirement was stated nowhere on the application or the finely printed terms of service via their website. When I insisted on their miscommunication, Omar transferred me back to Brigette, who hastily confirmed his statement. Feeling a bit runaround, I confronted Brigette on her initial statement to which she put me on hold, but after some time, returned with the same verdict. In conclusion, not only are these sort of business practices done in bad faith, it also serves as grounds for deceptive "bait and switch" practice as a business in California (Bus. & Prof. §17500 et seq.). Whereas now mine and my co-applicant's credit have been marked with a hard inquiry and could work towards diminishing my chances for approval elsewhere. Had this requirement of shared residence been clearly stated to either the Terms Of Service and/or the application itself, we would have never proceeded. I am requesting a removal of this inquiry from mine and my co-applicant credit scores, or a fair assessment of our original offer for financing. Thank you.

Worst service ever they report you late without been late and if you try to get some correct it they bounce you around with their corporate excuse and corporate bounce you back to the branch and no one does anything only excuses be careful with their promises because all are lies to get you in
